Pink Tutu Milan - Post #1554 - 19th March 2025 🩰💖🇮🇹

Ciao bella!

Emma here, reporting live from the fashion capital of the world, Milano! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for your weekly dose of Pink Tutu adventures.

This week has been a whirlwind of ballet, shopping, and delicious Italian food (that pizza was something else, my dears!) and I've been loving every minute. So settle in, grab a cuppa, and get ready for some serious pink tutu fun.

The Tram is my runway

You know how much I adore the Italian tram system - it's my personal fashion catwalk. It's not unusual for me to spot someone rocking a fabulous pink outfit and even a few tutus. It's always inspiring seeing other fashionistas, especially in a city known for its chic style.

This week, my trusty pink tote bag was brimming with ballet supplies (a necessity, darlings!) as well as a fresh copy of Vogue Italia.

Talking about inspiration, my favourite vintage shop on Via Dante found the most divine pair of ballet flats - they're a dusty rose, adorned with delicate feathers. They'll be the perfect finishing touch for my evening performance this Saturday, and the perfect way to blend in with the local ladies.

Ballet, fashion and a little bit of history

Tuesday evening saw me gracefully gliding across the stage at Teatro alla Scala, with my trusty pink tutu shimmering under the stage lights. A dream come true, every time. My performance this time was in aid of the Teatro alla Scala Charity, and we raised a handsome sum to help support their ballet school. Nothing makes me happier than helping young aspiring ballerinas to chase their dreams!

Following my performance, there was the post-show party - and that is where the real fun began. The mingling, the gossip, the delectable champagne! It felt so incredibly glamorous.

As a little reward for a job well done, I indulged in a post-party fashion feast at the Palazzo Marliani. I picked up a little vintage Chanel handbag - the colour? Why, pink of course! This bag is so incredibly beautiful, a classic, and I'm hoping it brings me a little more good luck. The sale was for a good cause - funds for restoring a historic palace!

I couldn't resist picking up a pair of beautiful red shoes too - a perfect compliment to my collection.

Discovering hidden treasures

I love wandering around Milan, letting the cobbled streets take me where they may. On a sunny Wednesday afternoon, I found myself strolling past the magnificent Duomo, and suddenly I came across the most charming little shop filled with beautiful, hand-painted porcelain dolls. They were the most delicate things, dressed in beautiful costumes - and they were inspired by the history of Milan! I just had to have one, and she's going to find a special place on my dresser, right next to my treasured ballerina figurine.

Pink Tutu adventures, continued

I can't wait to see what my little corner of Milano brings next!

Catch you next Monday, darlings!

XOXO

Emma 💖
