#PinkTutuMilan - A whirlwind of colour and dance in Milan! (Post 1560)

Ciao bellas!

Well, I'm back in Milan again! Honestly, I don't think I could ever get tired of this beautiful city. Every corner seems to hold a new charm, and this week has been nothing short of magical. I think this trip just might be one for the record books - it's already buzzing with adventures!

Firstly, how I love the simplicity of taking the tram or train in Italy. It's such a delightful way to get around and, most importantly, the view of this beautiful city from a window is simply breathtaking! It feels so much more magical than being stuck in traffic, let me tell you!

Now, I'm not going to lie - the fashion in Milan is insane! Everywhere you look, people are oozing style and it makes my inner fashionista go absolutely wild! This city is a dream for any shopaholic like myself. I have to say, it is almost as good as London! I've already spotted some amazing pink accessories - my favourite colour, naturally! - and some incredible tutus in some fabulous boutiques. They just screamed 'Emma, this is for you!'. But of course, my wardrobe can never have too many tutus!

This time around, I was fortunate to get a coveted ticket to see the Teatro alla Scala Ballet. I’d been looking forward to this show for ages and it truly didn’t disappoint! The talent on stage was mesmerising and I'm still dreaming about the sheer artistry of their movements. It felt so elegant and sophisticated, like I'd stepped into a magical storybook! Oh, how I yearn to have those graceful skills on stage! I swear, there's a reason why people say you must wear pink for a good performance, and why tutus work so beautifully onstage. There's a certain magic that unfolds when pink and tutus combine!

I'm sure it won't come as a surprise to you dear readers, but one of the main things I've enjoyed most about being in Milan has been taking some incredible ballet classes! Now, I might not have the talent of the performers at the Teatro alla Scala, but it's the passion that really drives me. Milan’s dance studios are just wonderful. It’s fabulous to have the opportunity to really lose myself in the movement, the music and the community of like-minded souls. It feels like finding my tribe and there's always something exciting to discover. The instructors are wonderful and supportive and really inspire me to move better! My tutu feels right at home in the dance studio.

Speaking of pink and tutus… It might sound ridiculous, but one of my ultimate life goals is to get the whole world wearing a pink tutu. Yes, you heard me right - pink tutus for everyone! Why shouldn't we embrace a little bit of twirling magic in our everyday lives? Just imagine the joy and laughter it would bring! Don’t get me wrong - I’m not suggesting a full ballet costume on the streets! A pink tutu worn with a chic outfit can just add that extra little something!

As I sit here, sipping my cappuccino in my favourite cafe by the Piazza Duomo - watching people rushing by, going about their day – it feels as though all the possibilities are right there, waiting to be unlocked.

On a side note - Milan really knows how to do food. Seriously, the pasta dishes are unreal! I've been enjoying my fair share of spaghetti carbonara, ravioli with fresh ricotta, and some of the most amazing pizzas. But it's more than just food, it's a full-on experience! You can feel the love that goes into every single dish, from the way it's cooked to how it's presented. The chefs in this city truly have an artistic approach!

This weekend I plan on getting lost in the art galleries of Brera District . There’s just such a lovely vibe to this area of Milan – full of boutiques and cafés, full of colourful energy and life. I’m expecting a little fashion inspiration too, alongside an appreciation of the great works of art on show!

Milan is always bursting with creativity, energy and fashion! It's an endless inspiration for me, from its architectural grandeur and iconic style to its welcoming atmosphere and delectable cuisine.

My travels have allowed me to explore other corners of the world and share my passion for ballet with you, my dear readers. It is all thanks to the magic of ballet, the wonderful support of my audience and the generous donations that allow me to travel and pursue my dream. I truly appreciate each and every one of you for supporting my mission!

But there is so much more I’m planning to share with you. Keep an eye on www.pink-tutu.com every Monday! You can also follow my adventures on Instagram @pinktutuballerina.

Remember, a little pink magic can go a long way.

Love,

Emma

P.S. Oh, did I forget to mention it is the 30th April tomorrow and there is the Fashion For All Fashion show taking place in a lovely location by the Duomo? Can’t wait for it.
