They've got a brand new crop of budding ballerinas and handsome young gentlemen (I'm talking future Principals here!) ready to take the stage by storm. Ballet and the Big Outdoors: Summer means sun-kissed skin, picnics in the park, and the most magical thing of all: Ballet under the stars! The Ashington Community Center is hosting a fantastic outdoor “Ballet in the Park” series throughout July. It's the perfect chance to witness the beauty of dance underneath a clear night sky, accompanied by the enchanting melodies of a string quartet. They've promised a mix of classic ballets and new contemporary pieces – perfect for introducing new ballet fans to this beautiful art form. Think romantic interludes, sparkling costumes, and a chance to grab a glass of wine and mingle with your fellow dance lovers (I might just see you there!).

I recently discovered a hidden treasure in Ashington: "The Ballet Boutique", an adorable store brimming with every ballerina's dream.
