It's that magical time of year when ballet schools come alive with vibrant summer programmes. Bexleyheath Academy of Dance is, of course, right on top of the action. They're running a captivating "Summer of Swan Lake" workshop. Talk about an iconic ballerina look, the White Swan and Black Swan costumes are simply divine and guaranteed to fuel every young ballerina’s imagination! And guess what? Bexleyheath’s own ‘tiny tots’ class has also expanded, welcoming even our youngest ballerinas into the magical world of ballet. Imagine, darling, the little tutu-clad angels just starting their journeys – it melts my heart!
Grand Adventures at the Royal Opera House
Feeling adventurous? Why not escape the summer heat with a dazzling trip to London's iconic Royal Opera House? Just a quick journey from Bexleyheath, the ROH is hosting a breathtaking season of summer ballet delights, from the classic "Giselle" to the innovative, cutting-edge "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland". And I just know the costumes for "Alice's Adventures" are going to be wild, with pops of vibrant colour and whimsical, Alice-inspired designs. Think whimsical tutus and playful details - it's going to be spectacular!
Tutu Fashion Extravaganza
Speaking of tutus, darling, you wouldn't believe the stunning creations popping up around Bexleyheath! Boutique 'The Tutu Shop' has unveiled their summer collection – think floaty fabrics, shimmering sequins and a bold splash of that signature pink, of course. And don't forget to check out the "The Dance Warehouse" - it's become the destination for all things ballet, from practical dance shoes to showstopping leotards and of course, those gorgeous, flowing tutus. They have literally got everything a ballerina could possibly desire, even adorable miniature tutus for our littlest dancers.
Bexleyheath Ballet Bonanza: Coming Up
It’s all happening this summer, Bexleyheath. There are so many exciting events to keep your toes tapping!
Bexleyheath Ballet School is holding its annual "Ballet Under the Stars" performance. Picture it, darlings: open air, twinkling lights, and stunning balletic performances – it’s sure to be a memorable summer night out. I can practically see the beautifully flowing tutus in my mind's eye now, lit up by the moonlight!
Don't forget about the "Dance Extravaganza" at The Bexleyheath Community Centre - a whole weekend celebrating dance! You can see captivating performances, get involved in workshops, and even buy a new, glitzy tutu from the many dancewear stalls! I’m already thinking about what amazing new additions I might find for my personal collection!
