The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and you know what that means? Ballet season is officially in full swing! 🌸☀️
First things first, I’ve been lusting over a new pair of pointe shoes – they’re divine, a classic pink satin with a delicate hand-stitched ribbon. My usual cobbled shoes (they really get me through tough rehearsals) were feeling a little… worn let’s just say. I’m obsessed! These babies will be making their debut at the upcoming Summer Soirée performance at the Carshalton Arts Centre. Oh, the elegance! 🤩
Speaking of the Summer Soirée, this year’s programme is all about celebrating summer! We’re waltzing through fields of flowers, twirling with mischievous fairies, and dancing under the glittering moonlight. Expect beautiful choreography, breathtaking costumes (pink, naturally!), and enough sparkling tutus to make a unicorn blush. 💖✨

This isn’t all! The Carshalton Ballet School is hosting a super exciting Summer Workshop in August for all budding ballerinas and danseur d'etoiles (yes, the boys are welcome too!). It’s a week packed with workshops, classes, and of course, a finale performance to show off their newfound skills. I know from experience, these workshops are tons of fun – we'll be practicing turns, leaps, and learning some seriously gorgeous choreography. It's the perfect way to get those ballet muscles ready for the upcoming term! 💪🏼
