Hey darlings, it's Emma here, your favourite tutu-obsessed ballet blogger! Summer's finally here, the sun is shining, and the world of Crosby ballet is blooming with exciting new developments! I can't wait to share them with you.
First things first, Crosby Ballet School has a brand new program just for the little ballerinas! It's called "Ballet Blossoms" and it's aimed at girls and boys aged 4-6 who are taking their first pirouettes. The program combines playful movement with storytelling and music, focusing on developing coordination, creativity, and that oh-so-important love of dance. It's all about letting the tiny tutus blossom and flourish.
And if you’re a bit older but still love to twirl, don't fret! Crosby Ballet School also has exciting news for its adult students! They’re launching a “Ballet on the Beach" series this summer! Yes, you heard me right, darling. We'll be pirouetting in the sand and feeling the sea breeze on our hair. Think it’ll be divine! These workshops are for all levels and will focus on a specific style or era of ballet. So, bring your beach towels, your summer smile, and be ready to dance barefoot in the glorious sunshine! I can already picture myself with a gorgeous, flowing pink skirt – perfect for dancing on the sand!
Speaking of pink, have you heard about Crosby Dancewear's new collection? Their latest range of tutus features breathtakingly beautiful pastel hues, including a truly dreamy shade of blush pink that’s making my heart flutter. Trust me, your Instagram feed needs a photo with this new tutus. And what's a tutu without a matching leotard, right? Crosby Dancewear have got you covered there too, with new leotards adorned with intricate designs, all inspired by the season's vibrant floral trends. It's enough to make any ballerina swoon!
And last but definitely not least, Crosby Theatre is getting ready for the most glamorous summer season yet. Their program boasts a variety of ballets, including a charming production of Swan Lake that will sweep you off your feet. They're also featuring a vibrant new choreography set to the music of one of my favourite contemporary composers. Get ready for an evening filled with drama, beauty, and raw emotion! I'm already marking my calendar and thinking about which stunning outfit I'll be wearing for opening night!
