First up, the Gloucester Summer Arts Festival is kicking off in style with a stunning ballet performance by the Gloucester City Ballet - they’re performing a beautiful rendition of The Sleeping Beauty. If you’re looking for an excuse to break out that gorgeous, floaty tulle skirt and channel your inner Aurora, this is your chance! This production is a masterpiece in the making - and you can catch it on the 15th of July at the City Hall theatre!

It's not just about the performances, lovelies! The ballet scene here is buzzing with some incredible new classes. Right in the heart of the city, the newly opened Dance Academy Gloucester is welcoming new students of all ages! The place is buzzing with energy and excitement, and there’s something for everyone. You could be waltzing across the studio in a classic tutu within weeks, or whipping up a whirlwind of sissone jumps with a professional trainer by your side! If you’ve always dreamed of gliding across the stage, this is your chance to finally take the leap!

And, naturally, this being me, it wouldn’t be a summer update without a peek at some amazing ballet-inspired fashion! Gloucester is full of fab stores stocking gorgeous outfits to give your tutu wardrobe a much needed summer refresh!

This event is definitely on my list, and I recommend it for any lover of the art, even if you’re only just beginning your ballet journey.
