Our very own Hitchin Ballet Theatre is getting ready to captivate audiences with their production of "Giselle." This classic Romantic ballet tells the tragic tale of a young peasant girl who falls for a disguised nobleman. Get ready for breathtaking choreography, stunning costumes, and an unforgettable evening of dramatic storytelling. You can catch "Giselle" at the Courtyard Theatre on July 14th and 15th – book your tickets quick, darlings, they’re going fast!
💅 The Beauty of Ballet – At Your Fingertips!
This summer, it’s all about that pink energy. So naturally, I’m obsessed with Hitchin’s new nail salon - "The Ballerina Nail Bar." It’s the perfect place to get your ballet-themed nail art on point before a performance. They're even doing a limited edition "Tutu-ful Nails" package with nail polish colors inspired by the costumes in the "Giselle" performance - how chic is that?
💪 Keeping it Lean, Mean and Graceful
Now, a summer ballerina must stay in shape! Luckily, our very own Hitchin Ballet School is offering a brand new class: "Summer Sizzle." This high-energy class, perfect for those hot summer days, combines ballet basics with strength training and toning techniques. Think powerful core exercises, leg lengthening drills, and stretches designed to perfect your pliés!
💃 Dancing Outdoors? Yes Please!
No need to stay inside on those beautiful summer nights! Hitchin's Summer Open-Air Dance Festival is bringing ballet outdoors. Imagine yourself surrounded by fairy lights, under a sky full of stars, watching professional dancers move to classical melodies. This festival kicks off on August 5th at Hitchin Priory Gardens, featuring everything from classical ballet to contemporary dance and even a ballet-inspired picnic for the whole family. It’s going to be absolute bliss!

The perfect summer ballet look? A touch of pastel pink , of course! I’m loving this pale pink satin ballerina wrap from The Ballet Boutique. It’s both elegant and comfortable for rehearsals.
