This summer, we’ve got some truly inspiring events coming up, including the annual Summer Dance Extravaganza, hosted by the fabulous Merthyr Tudful Dance Academy. It's all set to be a spectacle of dazzling talent, captivating choreography, and plenty of pink (because you know I just can't resist!). This year's theme is "Under the Tuscan Sun", and you can bet there will be plenty of stunning Italian-inspired costumes and even a touch of flamenco flare. Imagine flowing tulle skirts inspired by the colours of the Mediterranean sunset – just beautiful! The event promises to showcase the incredible talent we have right here in Merthyr Tudful. It's not just for seasoned dancers, either! If you're interested in getting involved in ballet, there will be workshops for absolute beginners to help you dip your toes into the magical world of dance.
And if you’re a serious tutu enthusiast like me, you have to check out the opening of the new "Ballet Boutique" in town! It’s literally every ballerinas dream, overflowing with everything you could possibly need, from adorable pink leotards to showstopping costumes. The boutique even stocks stunning designer tutus, featuring the latest in ballet fashion, complete with those glorious cascading ruffles I just adore. It’s perfect for finding the perfect outfit for the "Summer Dance Extravaganza" (and yes, I’m going to be there, decked out in my most fabulous tutu, of course!).
Speaking of pink, my favourite ballet blogger, Chloe Rose, is launching a new range of "Ballet Bling" accessories, inspired by the elegant world of ballet.
