The Ballet Barn: New Classes for Summer Fun

The Ballet Barn is shaking things up with a new class series: 'Ballet Bootcamp'! Now, this isn't your average ballet class - it's a full-body workout infused with the grace and discipline of ballet. Think of it as a beautiful blend of ballerinas and bad-ass dancers, and yes, it's totally up my alley.

But the fun doesn't stop there. They've also launched a new series called 'Ballet Brunch,' where you can enjoy a morning of ballet technique with fellow dancers, followed by a delicious brunch, complete with mimosas! Divine. It's the perfect way to unwind, socialise, and start your weekend on a fabulous note.

Tutu Talk: Pink is the New Black

Talking about fabulousness, it wouldn't be a summer ballet update without mentioning tutus. Oh, how I love my tutus! And guess what, pink is absolutely dominating this summer. From ballet stores to boutique dance wear brands, you'll see a burst of beautiful pinks – from candy floss hues to vibrant magenta. Think graceful flowy skirts, delicate feather boas, and elegant hand-sewn decorations. The perfect mix of classic ballet with a sprinkle of modern summer vibes. This season's all about celebrating that feeling of effortless femininity and confidence, and a pink tutu embodies that so perfectly.

Community Spotlight

And speaking of femininity and confidence, we've gotta give a shoutout to Mitcham's own "Ballet for Everyone!" This program brings ballet to people of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Their mission is to empower, uplift, and create a sense of community through ballet. They host workshops, classes, and even community outreach events to spread the magic of ballet throughout Mitcham. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive environment to embrace your inner ballerina, look no further.

A big highlight this summer is the much-anticipated film "Dance Dream". This heartwarming documentary captures the journey of young dancers as they train and compete in China. This film promises to showcase the artistry, passion, and resilience of ballet dancers.
