As a ballerina who lives and breathes the elegance of dance, I’m constantly on the lookout for what's new and exciting in the world of twirls. Norwich, with its charming cobbled streets and hidden gem dance studios, has been buzzing with activity!
A Tutu-fully Fresh Look
First up, the Norwich Ballet Company is bringing us their captivating production of "Giselle" at the Theatre Royal in August. You know me – I’m a big fan of the classic romanticism, especially with the delicate tutus and flowing movement! Expect stunning costumes and a performance that will sweep you off your feet.
Now, if you're looking for something a little different, you have to check out "Beyond the Ballet" at the Maddermarket Theatre. This show blends modern and contemporary ballet with original choreography and music that pushes the boundaries. I’m definitely marking it in my calendar, because you know I love a touch of daring, even in my beloved tutu world.

For those who prefer to experience ballet in a less formal setting, the outdoor performances at Norwich Castle Gardens are a summer delight. Picture yourself enjoying beautiful dancing under the sunshine with a delicious picnic spread - the perfect way to celebrate the warmer days.

But hold on, there’s one more piece of news that I'm utterly thrilled about. The Norwich Ballet School is launching a brand-new Summer Intensive programme! Now, if there’s anything that makes a ballerina’s heart sing, it's the opportunity to polish their skills, push their limits and of course, add more fabulous routines to their repertoire. I'm definitely eyeing up the chance to get a refresher, maybe even pick up a few new moves, and definitely some stylish tips for keeping my leotard collection up to date!

With all these wonderful dance events going on, it's clear that Norwich is truly embracing the magic of ballet this summer! Whether you're a seasoned ballet buff like myself, or someone just starting to explore the graceful world of dance, I urge you to take advantage of all the brilliant opportunities on offer.
