So, grab a glass of something bubbly (it’s officially rosĂ© season!), and let’s dive into the delightful world of summer ballet in Romford.

The Royal Ballet’s Summer Extravaganza!

You know I’m a sucker for anything royal, and The Royal Ballet School is definitely the epitome of class! Their summer program this year is jam-packed with exciting workshops and events for dancers of all levels. From classical ballet to contemporary fusion, they’ve got something for everyone! Imagine yourself in the luxurious studios, learning from renowned choreographers, and brushing up on your skills alongside fellow dancers. It’s a ballet lover's dream!

The workshops range from beginners’ introduction to more advanced technique classes, focusing on styles like lyrical and jazz. They’ve even got a “Tutus & Tea” workshop, designed specifically for those aspiring prima ballerinas! (Don’t worry, I’m already signed up for that one!)

Let’s Get “Moulin Rouge”!

Did someone say Moulin Rouge? Because the Romford Community Theatre is bringing the iconic French cabaret to life this summer with a stunning production of “Moulin Rouge!” This energetic, dazzling show promises to transport you to the heart of Montmartre with a mix of musical theatre and, of course, beautiful ballet. Get ready for sparkling costumes, flamboyant dances, and a whole lot of glitz! They even have a “Moulin Rouge” dance party planned for August. Let’s face it, you’ll probably want to flaunt your best Parisian dance moves. Don’t forget to channel your inner Nicole Kidman – maybe a red wig might even be called for? 😏

More Than Just Ballet: Summer’s Dance Extravaganza!

This summer is a hotbed for dancing! In addition to ballet, there are plenty of dance styles to explore in Romford, including modern dance, hip hop, ballroom, and even salsa! It’s a fantastic way to experience different styles and embrace the diversity of the dance world. Keep your eyes peeled for local workshops and classes advertised in local papers and social media.

And if you are looking for inspiration beyond the dance floor, why not indulge in a ballet movie marathon at home? Throw on your favorite tutu, pour a glass of pink lemonade, and let yourself get swept away by classics like “Black Swan” or “The Red Shoes.” (Personally, I can’t get enough of the sparkly shoes in the “The Red Shoes”! I may or may not have been a bit inspired by them for my own tutu collection 😉).

Remember, the summer is for indulging in all things fun and fashionable, especially in the world of dance! So, unleash your inner ballerina, don your prettiest tutu, and embrace the joy of movement, grace, and all things sparkly. See you in the dance studio (or maybe at a tutu party
?!)!
