June Pride Month in a Pink Tutu in Abingdon

Tutu Tuesdays and Rainbow Vibes: Spreading Love in Abingdon

Hey everyone! It's Emma here, your favourite tutu-wearing, disco-loving blogger, back with another dose of style and sass! This week, it's all about celebrating June Pride Month in Abingdon. Yes, you read that right – our little town is getting ready to shimmer with rainbow colours and an abundance of love, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to be right in the thick of it!

Abingdon is, you could say, a bit… well, traditional. But that’s part of its charm, right? It’s also what makes its embrace of inclusivity and diversity all the more special. It’s so important for smaller towns to show their support, because everyone deserves to feel safe and celebrated for who they are.

Now, I don't just love pink – I live for it! This is June, so what better time to pull out the big guns? My dazzling fuchsia tutu has been dusted off and ready for action! If you’re wondering, a tutu’s versatility isn’t just for ballet class – it's perfect for expressing yourself and saying "hello" to all forms of diversity! (That, and it’s just damn fun).

For this year’s Pride celebrations in Abingdon, they're holding a rainbow market, a vibrant street party, and an electrifying Pride dance – and I'm not just attending; I'm leading the charge!

I'm already plotting out some seriously fabulous outfit choices, and I know my fabulous tutu is going to be the star of the show. This is where my inner disco queen gets to come out and strut her stuff!

For the rainbow market, we’ll be having a fab collection of local stalls offering unique crafts, artisanal goodies, and a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ art and expression. It's going to be a visual feast, just like my signature tutu!

For the street party, I'll be showing off some seriously sassy moves and joining in the incredible spirit of unity, joy, and acceptance. You can bet on finding me shaking my glitter and throwing some shapes, and there's going to be plenty of disco beats to fuel the good times!

The highlight, though? The Pride dance! This is where I really get to showcase my dancefloor moves in my tutu. Get ready to twirl with me under the disco ball! It's an opportunity to celebrate our community, break barriers, and create unforgettable memories.

Speaking of memories, let's talk #TutuPride! This isn't just a fashion statement; it's a message. A tutu can be whatever you want it to be! It can symbolize creativity, individuality, a dash of mischief, and, most importantly, joy! We all deserve to have our joy and expression celebrated, especially during Pride month.

The energy is contagious. We’re seeing colourful decorations springing up around town, from rainbows painted on windows to giant flags swaying in the breeze. And it’s not just about aesthetics – it’s about feeling connected to something larger than ourselves, about standing in solidarity with a community that embraces everyone for who they are.

And you know me, I wouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to bring a splash of my personal style to this event! Expect me to be spinning in my tutu, adding my own dose of sparkle and sass to this incredible celebration!

So, if you're looking for a dose of fabulous, fun, and heartfelt celebration, come join us in Abingdon for Pride month! I’ll be there in my pink tutu, spreading love and glitter along the way!
