Deal’s Got It Going On: A Tutu-ific June Pride Celebration!
Hey everyone, Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood tutu-loving, disco-dancing, Pride-championing blogger! June is upon us, and with it, the vibrant spirit of Pride month! This year, I’m channeling that energy into my very own, and hopefully yours too, "Tutu Tuesday" celebration! I’ve always believed that Pride is about self-expression and celebrating who you are, and what better way to do that than with a twirl in a fabulous tutu?!
I was recently at the glorious seaside town of Deal, Kent. It's got that classic British seaside charm, a cool vibe, and I mean cool literally – they had an actual "Deal Beach" – and everyone was celebrating with open arms, big smiles and even bigger tunes!
So, what’s better than rocking a vibrant pink tutu in a beautiful seaside setting, you ask? Well, let me tell you! It’s about more than just the fluffy tulle. It’s about bringing a sense of joy, playfulness, and unapologetic joy to the air. I mean, when you strut your stuff in a sparkly pink tutu, who needs a red carpet, am I right?!
You know me, I love all things pink. And what better colour to symbolise inclusivity, positivity, and fun than this deliciously girly hue? So naturally, my tutu of choice was a bright pink dream! And guess what? I wasn’t the only one! I saw people of all ages and backgrounds rocking tutus of all shades and styles - bright and bold, classic and elegant, playful and quirky - it was an absolute spectacle of joyous self-expression!
I mean, have you ever seen someone walk with more confidence than a little kid in a tutu? Or, better yet, witnessed the sheer joy of a middle-aged bloke strutting his stuff in a purple one? I swear, you can almost hear the soundtrack of their own personal disco blasting in the background! And you know what? It was fantastic, it was empowering, and it reminded me, once again, why I adore Pride celebrations!
It wasn't just about the tutus though. It was a whirlwind of fantastically vibrant, joyous moments, filled with music, laughter, and the incredible feeling of belonging. You could literally feel the positive energy in the air! There was a palpable buzz of excitement and a heartwarming sense of community. Everyone felt like they could be themselves, wear their heart on their sleeve (or tutu in this case) and just enjoy the moment.
Now, the biggest misconception about Pride is that it's only for a certain group of people. Absolutely not! It's about everyone. It's about acknowledging, embracing, and celebrating our diverse humanity! So, you know what I’m doing for June? I'm challenging you all to embrace your inner diva, slip into a fab tutu, and get out there! Show the world that we're all about having fun, showing our individuality, and celebrating everyone, regardless of their identity.
And for all you beautiful people rocking your fabulous tutus and celebrating in your own way - rock those sparkles, strut your stuff, and be the awesome selves that you are! #tututuesday #tutupride
Oh, and remember, there are a ton of fantastic Pride events all around the UK and around the globe throughout June. From parades and parties to picnics and protests - find your vibe, find your community, and enjoy yourself!
Remember, celebrating Pride isn't just a month, it's a way of life! Love, respect, acceptance - that's what makes the world a better place! Let's continue to be beacons of light, showing our own individual sparkle, all while radiating love and embracing our beautiful differences.
Happy Pride! ✨💖
