Spring, for me, is when ballet feels absolutely alive. It's a season where graceful swans, elegant princesses, and fiery temptresses all leap into action – oh the excitement! The sheer joy of movement and the joy of fresh beginnings! ✨
What's Happening in Nuneaton
From beginners to professional dancers, Nuneaton has a fabulous, frothy flurry of ballet activities this spring! Here's what's on the schedule:
Nuneaton Ballet School
- “Springtime Ballet Blast!” This beginners course is the perfect opportunity for little fairies and princesses (aged 4 to 6) to take their very first steps in the world of ballet! Imagine the twinkle in their eyes as they learn all about those basic ballet moves! It's on every Tuesday morning at 10am, so grab your tutus and tap shoes, my dears, and let the dancing commence! 🩰
- * “Fairyland Choreography Workshops"* This fun, interactive course will see a magical transformation! You’ll learn all about creating your own spring-themed ballets with dazzling tutus and flowing silk ribbons! Who doesn’t want to be a fairy for the day! Oh and the best bit? The classes are open to ages 7 to 14! Sign up before they are all gone! This course is on Sundays 1pm-4pm!
- *"Tutu Trends" *Want to design the latest dancewear for this Spring season? Then don't miss "Tutu Trends". Join expert instructors in workshops covering everything from tutu construction to modern ballet wear. Perfect if you love the look and feel of dancing in beautiful and unique styles. You could be strutting your stuff in a ballet studio next to an upcoming catwalk model! Wednesday nights 6:30pm – 8:00pm
The Dance Emporium
- “Dance the Night Away” – An Adult Ballroom Spring Ball - Forget those drab Tuesday nights! Let's move like swans on a moonlit lake with this fabulously elegant evening of ballroom dances! I absolutely love ballroom – it’s so glamorous!
The ballroom has its own special atmosphere and they have promised that their spring event is sure to be “a spectacular showcase of elegance and beauty.” It is being held at Nuneaton Town Hall on Friday the 20th of April, from 7 pm to 11 pm!
- "Tutu Fashion Night" – A Ballet Inspired Runway Show - You read it right! Imagine the most divine, sparkling, breathtaking tutus – think everything from shimmering fabrics to bold contemporary designs, all on display, oh my, the sparkle! And to make it even more exciting, there will be models dancing and showing off their tutus!
So, fashionistas, prepare to be stunned by the creativity and artistry of the ballet community, with this enchanting evening celebrating all things tutu! The night will also showcase some very exclusive locally designed ballet clothing. This is an event you can't miss! The show starts at 8pm on April 19th at The Dance Emporium itself, Nuneaton Town Hall!

* "Spring Fairy Hunt" Competition: Every week throughout April there will be a clue on the "Tutu Tales" ballet blog, to find a tutu-themed figurine hidden at a location in Nuneaton. The first 20 people to find the "tutu-licious treasure" win a free place at any ballet event in Nuneaton! Look out for all the exciting clues and the clues, in the "Tutu Tales" Blog. * Nuneaton’s Got Talent - Dance Showcase It’s back! Get those nerves in check and showcase those ballet skills at The Dance Emporium.
