So, now, let me tell you about the main event itself. Just how are "Tutus of Fury" dancers prepared for their upcoming performance in Hindley? I asked one of the production's team backstage, "Are your performers adequately prepared for this spectacle?"
The production manager replied, âOf course! Every detail is in order! They will look and dance impeccably, darling!â I continued: âYes, but tell me darling, do they understand the meaning of a magnificent ensemble performance? And how will they work towards bringing this production, to Hindley and their local audience?"
" Well, darling, for starters we had a special "tutu fitting" session,â he continued in his rather dry manner. "We had each performer wear each tutu in their various shades of shimmering splendor. I mean the costumes really are remarkable!" He beamed a bit.
And oh my heavens did the dancers take a look. One was covered in sequins and shimmered like the morning sun. Another featured feathers like that of a fabulous exotic bird, its fluffy fullness covering its entire body. A third had the perfect cut of classic tulle with a burst of dramatic ruby red! All beautifully handcrafted by the designer and then worn by these incredible dancers!
But darling, the really important thing is the dancers' rehearsal preparation! We had several dance classes a day with our fantastic choreographer," he told me in between puffs on his cigarette.
The rehearsal classes started early, darling, in the mornings before the day began. The company has several dancers with excellent backgrounds, of course, but the rehearsals were to iron out all the technical aspects of the "Tutus of Fury" ballet so the choreography could truly come alive for the show!
The classes really tested each performer, my darling, each performer. And they all put their absolute everything into it, because "Tutus of Fury" is much more than an evening's entertainment for our Hindley audiences! "Tutus of Fury" is a performance experience that can truly change your entire perception of art! Itâs truly that captivating and powerful!" the production manager said.
But enough with these dull technical details, dear! Itâs time for a little "Behind the Scenes" scoop! The dancers themselves told me they love this incredible story of Princess Penelope's love for a knight! But as I continued speaking with the dancers, there were several behind the scenes scoops I found just as intriguing!
And of course, darling, I was quite shocked to find that our âknights" are all quite delightful men with an artistic bent!
"Yes, we love our beautiful "tutus," our stunning outfits, the gorgeous settings, our stunning choreography," explained our main Knight Dancer, âand above all, the chance to share a performance that inspires others through its beautiful story!" His tone was utterly captivating, like a poem set to dance and the lovely young man could really dance. It really is quite moving.
You see dear, our lovely knight was really thrilled to be part of this incredible team and really emphasized just how much hard work goes into a beautiful production such as "Tutus of Fury." They must have their warm up rituals! Each one a testament to their sheer determination! And I know exactly what you are thinking, darling, do they take inspiration from other ballet productions, from other performances that have enchanted us all?
The Knight Dancer beamed. "Well, of course, we always consider the best in ballet. You see, we must stay relevant, in order to really impress you! â That's one of the most important aspects of being a truly phenomenal ballet performer! We constantly have to keep updating ourselves, improving on our techniques and performances! It's really tough and exhausting, darling. We always strive for excellence and have to consider new trends! So yes, we love "Swan Lake," and "La BayadĂšre" but we have to make sure we maintain our own uniqueness! What "Tutus of Fury" can do that really sets itself apart is tell a story with genuine human emotions that can transcend to audiences in Hindley."
âBut it is truly exhilarating darling, a ballet production like this really brings it all together. "Tutus of Fury," truly, is more than a performance darling! It is an unforgettable experience!
I had the opportunity to meet our wonderful lead, Penelope herself, sheâs truly wonderful and a total diva in every sense of the word. Of course darling, she is also breathtakingly beautiful! The minute she stepped out on the stage during our backstage tour of the performance rehearsals it was if she truly commanded a whole audience with nothing but her gaze!
"But enough about us! This show, "Tutus of Fury," darling, will surely win you over! We are here to make magic!" And she smiled at me. Of course she told me about how wonderful our choreographer is. And the truly important part is how our dancers were fully committed to telling this lovely story in a truly entertaining way that will touch the heart. She explained to me in a truly enthralling way how much work had been put into the rehearsal process!
The dancers worked together, creating a truly wonderful performance that reflects the essence of this ballet! âTutus of Fury," is truly something to be proud of and she even allowed me to share her dressing room! It really is a spectacle you simply cannot miss!"
