It all started, as all fabulously silly things do, with a social media post. Some anonymous angel – someone with truly impeccable taste, let’s be honest – suggested we all put on a tutu today. A whimsical day for whimsical wardrobes! And what did we do, you ask? We absolutely embraced it, darling! Forget a newsfeed of politicians and politicians’ wives, this morning has been all about glorious fluff and fabulously frivolous frou-frou! A gaggle of girls – yes, of course, all sporting delightful pink tutus - are dancing through Hyde Park. Our favourite celebrity chef (whose name I refuse to divulge – you know who you are!) was seen outside a local bakery wearing a full, white tutu and a smile so dazzling it practically glowed in the sunshine.
There have been tutus spotted, I kid you not, even in the hallowed halls of Parliament. We’ve been reliably informed – from our wonderful, very fashionable little birdie in Westminster – that even some of the stern-faced, serious MPs were sporting tutus under their suits.
