Tutu and Ballet News

**The Tutu Takeover! Pink is the New Black!**

Dearest dears,

Iā€™m back, darlings, back from the land of leaping, pirouetting, and plies ā€“ a week spent at the National Ballet School in London, and oh my, it was a total dream. Theyā€™re the absolute beeā€™s knees, you know. The students are exquisite, and the teachers are such darlings, simply divine!

Now, while it wasnā€™t all swan lake and champagne, darling, thereā€™s a serious question that's been bouncing around my head. Are we all a little bit obsessed with tutus, you ask? Are they, perhaps, a little too fabulous? Well, darling, I wouldnā€™t have it any other way, but after a week of tutu immersion therapy, Iā€™ve reached a conclusion ā€“ **the tutu needs to have a bit of a comeback**. Itā€™s a fashion crime to confine these magnificent creations to the stage, and I think itā€™s time to break the ballet barrier and take these wonders to the streets.

The question is, where to start, darling? Should we ditch the office trousers for a little pink pouffe? Maybe skip the morning jog in those frumpy running tights and strut in a perfectly structured white tulle masterpiece?

**Think of it ā€“ the possibilities are simply endless, darling!** You can dress up, down, and sideways, and create an utterly unique, stylish and sophisticated statement.

Of course, we must consider the social ramifications ā€“ will it cause a stir in the local pub? Will people bat an eyelash at the supermarket? Possibly, darling. But do I care? No! Because fashion is an expression, and, letā€™s face it, nothing says "I am fabulous and fierce" quite like a white or pink tulle creation.

But don't think for a moment that I'm encouraging you to grab the nearest tutu from your daughter's dress-up box and go full prima ballerina, darling! The tutu is a delicate piece, itā€™s a masterpiece. You canā€™t just shove it on. Thereā€™s a way to pull this off and keep the ā€œtrashyā€ vibe in check, just as you wouldnā€™t waltz into a meeting in a cocktail dress, you wouldn't wear a tutu unless you understood how to handle this high-fashion queen.

Hereā€™s where I bring you some chic and stylish ideas:

  • The white tulle, my dear! You want something ethereal, and oh so graceful. This little beauty will take you from a chic cocktail evening to a formal wedding and keep you perfectly polished.
  • And if you're after a little pizzazz, a hint of sassy sparkle? Then pink is your color! Just be prepared for those eyes on you as you saunter through the office corridors, a pink tulle explosion in your wake. The confidence this creation evokes is simply magnificent!
  • If your style leans a bit more conservative and you're craving a tiny peek of tulle, then there are also ways to incorporate the tutu in more subtle ways ā€“ with a skirt over a tulle slip for that soft and elegant vibe, or perhaps just a small splash of tulle under your trousers, as an accessory that screams ā€œ I am not afraid to be different, darlingā€
  • Youā€™ll want to remember a few key elements when you go for this look. A good high-heel or chunky platform shoe. It's about balance, and nothing takes the tutu into the realm of trashiness quicker than the wrong shoes.

We mustn't be afraid to take risks. And what better risk to take than adding a splash of tutu magic into our lives. If weā€™re being honest with ourselves, darling, weā€™ve been holding back just a little. This, my dears, is our chance to unleash the inner goddess, to take a daring fashion step. **Tutus, dear readers, are back!** And we're about to see pink and white on every street corner!

And one final note before I swan off, my darlings, never forget: always practice your pliƩs, never leave home without a good blush of lip gloss, and never, ever forget the magic in your tutu.

Until next time, my little darlings, xo,

Fiona

**P.S.** The only accessory that will go better with a tutu than a smile is a whole lotta confidence.
