Darlings! It's me, your girl, your fabulous, tutu-loving guide to all things twirling and divine! This week has been quite the whirl! It all started with the arrival of our lovely *Grande Dame* of ballet, the one and only Dame Penelope Peachbottom, who was spotted *sans* tutu - an utter shock! It seems she just popped out for a bit of *refreshment* - can you *believe* the nerve! And not one, *not one*, little tutuette! This, my loves, has NEVER happened! Imagine! This was like the Queen turning up at Ascot in a tracksuit. We are *so* used to her grand entrance in the most extravagant tulle. Imagine her walking into the Royal Ballet! What a disaster! A *Tutu-Less Tuesday! Scandal! But you know me, I wouldn't dream of passing up a juicy fashion faux pas like this.
So I dashed off to my darling friend, Mavis - she’s my resident Tutu Consultant - she has *the most* extensive tutu collection, darling! It's just a veritable rainbow of silk, lace and, oh, just the fluffiest tulle you ever did see. Anyway, she was absolutely beside herself, *utterly* scandalized, when she heard the news, "Darling, she must never go without! We simply *must* fix this!" she cried, as if someone had threatened the nation's tea supply. Mavis immediately whipped up a beautiful lilac-hued confection. And do you know, just before Dame Penelope’s evening performance, we managed to get it to her *just* in time, bless her sweet cotton socks!
You should have seen the face of Dame Penelope, she nearly *passed out* at the sight of the gorgeous tutu we gave her! But I wouldn’t let her walk on stage without it! No one walks on stage *sans* tutu, especially *not* the Grande Dame! And to be honest, even with the brief *lapse*, she had the entire theater absolutely glued to her performance, darling. And her dancing? Pure magic, of course!
But now on to the bigger issue here - why are tutus even *news*, you ask? Why all this fuss? The answer is simple: the tutu, darling, it's a state of mind!
