Tutus Take Over the World!
Well, darling, it’s official. We’re officially living in the age of tutus. Forget about your little black dress, those killer heels, your stilettos and your designer handbags. Darling, the real fashion powerhouses are those who can pirouette, plié, and grand jeté their way into the heart of any party, any gathering, any boardroom.
On the 11th November, 2007, history was made. Not with a bang, mind you, but with a dainty little twirl.
Yes, darling, the Tutu Revolution kicked off. And honestly, it's about time! Those of us in the know, the ones who have always known that tutus are the most fabulous, chic, and undeniably powerful fashion statement, have been waiting for this moment. For too long, the world has been stuck in a fashion rut. Now, thankfully, the masses are starting to see the light!
The movement began innocently enough. A group of ballet-obsessed fashionistas - some would even say fashionistas *born* to be ballet obsessed- gathered in Covent Garden. Armed with their best tutus, the bold and daring started their silent revolution. We wore those tutus proudly! We pranced around, we pliéd, we turned our graceful, leggy forms, a kaleidoscope of twirling pink and white.
It all happened, darling, with a sense of giddy fun!
First came the puzzled looks. A little bit of skepticism. But you see, once the masses had laid eyes on the sheer beauty and power of those whirlwinding tutus, they simply couldn't help but want a piece of the action!
Before we knew it, the streets were awash with tulle, every passerby was taking a stab at the five-foot tendu and the air was alive with the infectious thrill of the tutu revolution!
Soon, those wearing little black dresses were giving us envious glances, wishing they had a tutu to grace their forms!
This revolution, darling, wasn’t violent, nor was it forceful! It happened simply, gently. In fact, some might even say with a hint of playful whimsy.
We brought elegance, poise, and a little bit of fairytale magic to a world desperately in need of all three! And while the masses are still adjusting to the revolutionary notion that wearing a tutu is not just for the ballet stage but also the boardroom, our little band of ballet obsessed trendsetters continues to twirl into history.
And what a glorious, breathtaking, perfectly-executed history-making moment it was.

Oh, and let's not forget the irresistible elegance of a tutu’s flowing tulle, the sheer perfection of a classic tutu’s lines. (Speaking of perfection, why are we not wearing tutus to every board meeting?! )
