Today, 31st March 2003, I’m filled with that springy feeling you get when you've just aced your final ballet class, a delicious NYC bagel in hand, and a sparkling new tutu awaiting its big debut! 🥯🩰
Speaking of debuts, how amazing was my performance at the "En Pointe" dance studio last night? A full house, standing ovation, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment… well, at least until my lovely, long, lilac tutu snagged on a backstage prop! Oops, apologies to the handsome stagehand who helped untangle me! (I may have offered a sparkly pink tutu as a token of appreciation, wink wink…) 🙈😉
The good news is, I am officially the Queen of the "Pink Tutu Fund" now. My performances are funding my big, pink dream - travelling the world in style, of course, with a tutu as my loyal companion! 🎉
Anyway, back to today’s whirlwind adventure… after my final ballet class at the fabulous "Steps on Broadway" studio, (gotta love that NYC ballet energy!), I ventured forth into the magical world of shopping!
My pink-loving senses were in overdrive as I flitted through the racks of the newest "Macy's" boutique on Herald Square. They even had a pink tutu display! Who needs a welcome mat when you can have a whimsical "Pink Tutu Wonderland" right by the front door? 🛍️🎀
Needless to say, a delightful vintage tutu in a shade of blush pink I'd never seen before was purchased and added to my ever-growing, very pink collection. Let's just say it's gonna look simply spectacular paired with my latest "Lilly Pulitzer" frock - the kind of look that makes you stand out like a sparkling star in the New York City skyline. ✨🌟
Next up, a classic, oh-so-stylish NYC metro journey to see what fabulous things await me in the charming streets of Greenwich Village! As you know, I’m all about embracing the "pink tutu aesthetic," even when hopping on the subway. After all, my life’s mission is to encourage everyone, everywhere to wear pink tutus. It’s like a mission of spreading joyful movement and a bit of sparkle wherever I go!
Remember that fab new art installation I saw last week on Washington Square Park? I’m planning a little photo shoot today for the Pink Tutu blog! I’ve been working on a new tutorial – "Pink Tutu posing 101"! - and this installation will provide the perfect backdrop. Imagine me twirling under a gigantic, pink, tutu-shaped sculpture – what a dreamy, girly backdrop for my latest Instagram story! 🥰
Speaking of dreams… my heart fluttered a little today while I was taking a leisurely stroll down Fifth Avenue. Guess what? The beautiful "New York City Ballet" had a display for the upcoming "Swan Lake" production, just by the famous "Tiffany" window. I think this calls for an impromptu trip to the ballet, don’t you agree? 😉
For my fellow tutu lovers, you have to check out the "Met Costume Institute Exhibition" at the "Metropolitan Museum of Art"! They have an absolutely stunning collection of ballet costumes - even the legendary "Pink Tutu" designed for "The Nutcracker". Talk about inspiring! 🎨💖
I am also really looking forward to seeing "Mamma Mia!" on Broadway next week. I hear it’s a true "tutu" masterpiece. I’m sure the music, the story, the costumes and all the dancing will be fab! 👠🎶
I love all things pink and girly, but when it comes to New York City, there's one thing I just can’t resist – the dazzling, dazzling lights! The "Times Square" billboards, the lights reflecting off the beautiful architecture, the bright colours and endless possibilities of the city... They really make me feel alive, you know? 🌟✨
Of course, I've still got to pop over to the charming little French cafe near the Central Park to indulge in a macaron. It’s my favorite, super yummy treat. This place has a little table by the window where I love to watch the world go by, nibble on a delicate pink macaron and maybe write a few new blog entries for www.pink-tutu.com. 💕🥐
