This week I’m bringing you post number 624 from New York City, the vibrant, dynamic, and oh-so-inspiring hub of the world, and I am absolutely brimming with excitement! I landed here yesterday and already I’m feeling the intoxicating energy of this magical metropolis, and guess what? I’m bringing the Pink Tutu magic to the Big Apple. 🗽
Ballet Dreams & City Streets
You know I can't resist a bit of pirouette anywhere, even in the heart of bustling Manhattan, so imagine me twirling through Central Park in a gorgeous hot pink tutu, sunshine bouncing off the pink fabric – absolute bliss! It really felt like a scene from one of those vintage ballet films, and the joy I felt…well, it was pure, unadulterated joy!
And speaking of joy, I’m thrilled to be back at my favourite dance studio in New York, The Ballet Sanctuary, where I’ll be taking a masterclass this week. This studio, tucked away on a quiet side street, is my haven away from the chaos, a haven where I can truly immerse myself in the world of ballet. It’s where my heart beats a little faster, my feet fly over the barre, and the music guides my every move. Can’t wait to tell you all about it next week!
A Whirlwind of Broadway
Oh, how I love the theatre, the vibrant spectacle of Broadway, the hush before the curtain rises, the intoxicating energy that rushes over you as the lights dim… pure magic! This week I’m seeing a preview of "A Little Night Music", and my darling pink tutu will, of course, be gracing the velvet seats! The costumes are inspired by ballet and the story revolves around an actress, who, like me, is passionate about her craft. I just know it’s going to be sensational! I'll fill you in on the details next week, pinky swear. 😉
Shopping and Style
Now, you know me, I can't resist a little retail therapy. New York is like a fashion wonderland! I'm heading to Bergdorf Goodman this afternoon for a bit of luxury, maybe a new pink satin shoe for my ballerina collection. Oh, and I might just have to find the perfect outfit for the Metropolitan Opera - maybe a dramatic red silk gown to match the grandeur of the evening? I'll keep you posted!
Exploring the City Like a Ballerina
Today I hopped on the metro, my signature hot pink tutu twirling gracefully as I moved through the bustling crowds. You know I always travel by subway when I'm in New York – a swift, efficient, and truly unique way to see the city. I think it’s even better than a horse-drawn carriage. 😊
The energy here is so exhilarating! From the vibrant street art in the East Village, to the sophisticated galleries in Chelsea, New York never ceases to amaze me. My heart swells with joy every time I witness its magic.
