Good morning darlings! It's Monday, and you know what that means... another week of #PinkTutuBlogNYC adventures! I'm writing to you from the heart of the Big Apple, my head still spinning from the whirlwind of this past week. Where do I even begin?
This weekend was utterly magical! It felt like one of those fairytale dreams come true - I wouldn't have swapped it for anything. Imagine...
A Dance Under the Stars
First off, I was whisked away to a hidden gem in the city: Bryant Park, a true oasis in the urban jungle! Every Friday in summer, they hold free, open-air movie nights. Think classic films projected against the Manhattan skyline - utterly charming!
Now, as any true Pink Tutu devotee knows, a glamorous outfit is non-negotiable. So, of course, I chose a sunshine-yellow sundress, my favourite turquoise headband, and a twirlingly pink tutu. And to top it off, a sprinkle of shimmering silver fairy dust, because every night should feel like a fairy tale, wouldn't you say?
The whole atmosphere was just breathtaking - laughing children, picnic blankets, and the tantalising smell of popcorn in the air. We gathered, friends and strangers alike, united by a shared love for the silver screen and a magical evening under the stars. It reminded me just how beautiful simplicity can be - those are the best nights, aren't they?
A Ballet Masterclass with a Touch of Glamour
As the week started, I indulged in a true ballerina's treat: a masterclass at the legendary Dance Theatre of Harlem. This institution holds a very special place in my heart; it's a shining beacon of talent and creativity. I'm truly inspired by their dedication to bringing the grace and artistry of ballet to everyone, no matter their background.
Stepping into that studio felt like a homecoming - the energy buzzing in the air was contagious. I felt the thrill of movement coursing through my veins, my limbs echoing the elegant grace of the ballerinas I admire. As the lesson progressed, my own body remembered its movements, like a dancer awakening from a long slumber. The class concluded with a breathtaking demonstration of their newest choreography - it was simply magnificent!
A Metro-Hop to Fashion Heaven
Now, darling, no trip to New York is complete without a little retail therapy, wouldn't you agree? So, naturally, I found myself hopping on the Metro, navigating its bustling, energetic soul to a new and fabulous store on Fifth Avenue called "A Touch of Sparkle." This little shop is my absolute haven! Imagine an explosion of colour and glitter, beautiful textiles and shimmering sequins. It's like stepping into a fairy's boudoir!
I emerged with an absolutely breathtaking creation: a silver sequined bolero jacket. Its sparkle caught the sunlight in the most amazing way, whispering promises of dazzling nights ahead. Can't wait to pair it with my tutu for a night out in the city.
Dining with a View
Now, for a truly special experience, we made our way up to the Rainbow Room for dinner. The Rainbow Room, located on the 65th floor of the RCA Building, is a sight to behold! It feels like a glamorous movie set, with art deco interiors and panoramic views of the city.
I chose a stunning salmon with roasted vegetables, feeling like a princess at a grand ball! The view, the music, the atmosphere - everything about that evening was pure luxury.

I’ve told you before, darlings, my life's goal is to inspire every single one of you to embrace the pink tutu - it's an expression of pure joy and feminine power.
Walking down the streets of New York, I can’t help but notice how even in the midst of bustling energy, there’s a spirit of individuality and expression. It makes me want to twirl my tutu with even more exuberance!
