Pink Tutu Blog NYC: Monday 2018-05-07 ā€“ She Danced in New York City!

Hello, darling readers! šŸ©°āœØ It's Monday, which means it's time for a brand new post from your favourite pink-tutu-wearing blogger! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Blog NYC! This week's post is number 1196, and I'm absolutely buzzing to tell you all about my latest adventures in the Big Apple. As always, you can find all my blog posts on www.pink-tutu.com every Monday, so don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter to stay up-to-date!

Last week, I took a leap of faith and performed at a beautiful ballet festival in Brooklyn. It was a whirlwind of rehearsals, laughter, and absolutely stunning dance routines! There were so many incredibly talented dancers, all sharing their passion and talent, and I feel so lucky to have been part of such an amazing event.

The theme of the festival was ā€œHope,ā€ and you know what? It certainly lived up to its name! Watching the performers take to the stage, each pouring their heart and soul into every graceful move, truly felt like witnessing a kaleidoscope of hope. The atmosphere was electric with the power of artistry and creativity. The audiences were mesmerized and enthralled, captivated by the breathtaking choreography. It was truly inspiring to see so many people come together, united by their love of dance.

Of course, being a pink-tutu-wearing dancer, I had to wear something special! I donned a vibrant coral-pink tutu, which danced and twirled beautifully with every step. It's all about feeling confident and embracing that inner ballerina sparkle! It goes without saying that the stage was lit beautifully with my favourite colour: pink, naturally! I had to capture the moment with a selfie, as I'm sure you'll agree it's the perfect blend of pink tutu joy and artistic beauty. I think I shall make a new hashtag #PinkTutuFestival!

The Pink Power of Broadway!

This past week was also all about immersing myself in the theatrical wonderland of Broadway! My darling Mum surprised me with a ticket to a Broadway show - ā€œWickedā€ - that she'd booked weeks ago. This magical, fantastical story was filled with heart, drama and, of course, fabulous costumes, which, naturally, featured plenty of my beloved colour - pink! I knew it was going to be an incredible experience, but it surpassed even my wildest dreams! The entire show was captivating, and the music just seemed to linger in the air, almost magical! It left me feeling inspired and brimming with joy. I just can't get the gorgeous melodies out of my head!

Afterwards, we strolled along the vibrant streets, enjoying the twinkling city lights, a delicious meal at a charming bistro (a juicy pink steak - you can never go wrong!), and just savoring the infectious energy that this amazing city offers. Thereā€™s something so wonderful about being a Londoner in the City that Never Sleeps.

Speaking of the city, I found the most beautiful floral arrangements this week, all adorned in the most exquisite shades of pink. The blooms were so perfect they felt like they were straight out of a fairytale. It was just a beautiful touch to add some extra joy and vibrant colour to my days.

Of course, no visit to the Big Apple is complete without a spot of retail therapy, and I absolutely delighted in scouring the cityā€™s fabulous stores for treasures and gifts! A gorgeous pink ballet bag caught my eye in a quirky little boutique in Greenwich Village. This little gem will be perfect for all my dancing and travel adventures. It has just the right amount of pockets to hold my essentials, such as my sparkly ballet shoes, a hairbrush, my makeup pouch, and even some snacks. And, of course, I had to try on a couple of gorgeous ballet tutus too. Maybe they could be my next stage outfits!

My Metro Love Affair

New Yorkers are quite something! Even when crammed onto the packed trains in the Metro, their energy is truly inspiring. Thereā€™s a sense of urgency mixed with a surprising degree of politeness. Iā€™m convinced that the metro is a ballet in itself! Itā€™s all about timing, navigating the crowds gracefully, and always looking out for fellow passengers. It certainly makes me feel connected to the rhythm and energy of this city.

But it wasnā€™t all glitz and glamour! A couple of days were spent back in Derbyshire, my beautiful little slice of England. Itā€™s great to escape the fast pace of the city and simply be in nature and to indulge in my passion for ballet from my own little studio! I spent those precious days focusing on my routines and feeling inspired by my surroundings. My studio overlooks a green valley. It's such a magical place!

Ballet is My Passion, Pink is My Life!

Even when Iā€™m in the countryside, the ballet world is never far from my mind! And that leads me back to New York City and the pink tutu blog!

Thereā€™s a magic to this city that canā€™t be replicated anywhere else in the world. Thereā€™s this sense of endless possibility, creativity, and vibrancy that just takes over. It's like a breath of fresh air, a burst of colour. The constant buzz and energy make me feel alive and inspire my creativity. It truly does have that ā€œI can do anythingā€ atmosphere! And, as you all know, that's exactly what this pink tutu wearing blogger aims for ā€“ to empower you and to encourage you to spread a little bit of pink tutu magic around the world!

Of course, every bit of travel and adventure I enjoy is made possible by the dedication and effort I put into my dancing. My passion for ballet keeps the magic going, both on stage and off. I want to spread my joy, my enthusiasm, and my love for pink tutus with the whole world! And so, on that note, Iā€™ll say goodbye for this week! Remember, stay tuned to Pink Tutu Blog NYC each Monday, and letā€™s keep spreading that pink tutu joy together!

Have a fabulously pink week, darlings! Lots of love, Emma xx
