The Big Apple truly is a whirlwind of activity. I've had such a thrilling week here. 💃 Just picture it: pink tutus twirling under the sparkling lights of Broadway, amongst a kaleidoscope of colours and faces. I'm living my best life, darlings! 💖
For my fellow ballet buffs, this week has been a true delight. On Wednesday, I caught an exquisite performance of "Giselle" at the Metropolitan Opera. You wouldn't believe how fabulous the costumes were, oh my goodness! I just had to stop and do a little pirouette on the sidewalk in front of the Met right after I walked out. Who wouldn't?
Speaking of dazzling performances, I must tell you about the absolute wonder that is Broadway! I was mesmerized by the cast of "The Lion King" and gasped with glee at all the colourful costumes, even though my face hurt with all the smiling I did!
But the best part, aside from the magical performances, is simply walking through New York. There’s just such a vibrant buzz. I simply must share this amazing secret I discovered for navigating the city: I pop my pink tutu on and get the metro – no one really looks twice, the subway becomes my dance floor, a rhythmic adventure to my chosen destination.
Every nook and cranny of New York bursts with something delightful to capture the eye: from the magnificent architecture to the quaint cafes brimming with chatty patrons. Speaking of charming, I simply couldn't leave the city without visiting the whimsical "Alice's Tea Cup" cafe. I absolutely love their pink teacups, so cute and very much on-brand. As a true lover of tea and scones, it's a place I now consider my little haven away from home.
My shopping ventures in New York City have been truly unforgettable. From the stylish boutiques on Fifth Avenue to the vintage gems tucked away in charming corners, it was a shopping extravaganza for a tutu-clad princess like myself. I snagged a fabulous sequined clutch bag and a stunning hat, a must-have for a ballerina with a penchant for pink, you see. 👒 This city has really been inspiring, oh my!
I must confess, it can get tiring travelling from place to place here in New York, a whirlwind of colours, energy and activity, especially when my ballet performances fund my travel. But the beauty of it all - all this beauty - is truly energising.
My dearest readers, the magic of this week has me feeling quite enchanted, and it wouldn't be a true New York experience without a trip to Central Park. Picture it: a blissful afternoon amongst swaying trees and sun-dappled lawns. I couldn't resist the urge to dance!
