Hello darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-clad travel blogger, bringing you all the glitz and glamour from the Big Apple! Today's post is extra special, as it’s all about… drum roll… dancing!

The iconic New York City ballet scene is, for me, as good as it gets. It's full of passionate dancers, jaw-dropping performances, and stunning costumes – I simply can't resist it! And, of course, what's a trip to NYC without a little bit of retail therapy? I spent the day flitting through some of the city's finest shops, on a quest for the perfect tutu for the big night out!

This weekend has been all about ballet. From rehearsals in a vibrant Brooklyn studio, complete with graffiti-covered walls and stunning skyline views, to watching seasoned professionals grace the stage at the New York State Theatre. The energy, the passion, the sheer talent… It’s almost too much to handle. And guess what? I got to join in on the action too!

Stepping out of the rehearsal room and into the hustle and bustle of New York City is an experience. This time around, it's extra special because the bright pink tulle tutu I'm twirling in is from a brand new collection I'm collaborating with! Can you believe it?! It's everything a girl could wish for – luxurious, graceful, and oh-so-pink, of course.

With the iconic Times Square at my doorstep, it felt impossible to stay cooped up inside. So, armed with a map, my new favourite pink tutu (a masterpiece of delicate floral details and shimmering sequins), and a giant cup of peppermint tea, I decided to take a whirlwind tour of the city!

New York City never fails to surprise and inspire me, whether it’s admiring the magnificent architecture in Central Park or losing myself in the art galleries of Chelsea. And, you know me, darling, I just couldn't resist grabbing a delicious New York-style slice of pizza with extra cheese for a perfect lunchtime treat!

As dusk painted the cityscape in hues of soft orange and rose, I made my way to Lincoln Center. It felt like the start of something magical! It's one of my favourite places to catch a show, and tonight, the performance was an extraordinary ballet production. A whirl of silk and tulle, and a blend of classic and contemporary dance choreography, left me spellbound.

After the show, the whole city was pulsing with a sense of vibrant life. The sounds of music spilled out of every corner, street performers were putting on captivating shows, and the energy was positively contagious. It's a truly exhilarating experience to walk through the city after a breathtaking ballet performance, feeling like the world's stage is yours.

Of course, no trip to NYC is complete without a glimpse into the world of ballet street performance! A captivating show featuring a stunning mix of ballet and Broadway elements unfolded before my eyes on 42nd Street, with the most vibrant backdrop imaginable. This magical performance, taking place amidst the energy of Times Square, offered a powerful demonstration of talent and raw energy. It is truly remarkable how talented dancers use the city's very fabric as their stage, sharing their passion with anyone who passes by!

A magical dinner date at one of the city’s oldest and most romantic restaurants, followed by a truly spectacular cabaret performance - you could say this is my idea of a perfect New York night! A symphony of light and shadow, graceful movements, and dramatic stories all weaved together to create a captivating theatrical experience. I’m utterly spoilt for choice in this city.

Living my dreams and spreading pink tutu joy in New York City is more incredible than I ever thought possible! I'm so grateful for every minute I spend in this magnificent city, whether it’s writing my blog post from a cozy coffee shop in the heart of Brooklyn, trying on outfits in a designer boutique, or soaking up the city’s energy while watching a mind-blowing Broadway production. I’m on cloud nine!

But, as always, there's something deeply rewarding about helping inspire people to find their inner pink tutu – their passion, their sparkle, their joie de vivre! And so, as you read these words, my little pink tutu angels, let this be your reminder: the power of imagination and your own creativity can bring you truly anything, anywhere!

Okay, let's talk fashion, shall we? Today, I’m going full ballerina-chic in my most whimsical ensemble!

The star of the show: a vibrant pink tutu – the one I’ve been dying to wear all weekend – adorned with cascading pink, white, and blue floral embroidery.

But the magic doesn't stop there. It's all about a combination of dainty elements: a simple white ballet top with delicate lace accents that compliments my delicate décolletage, a matching pair of ballet slippers for a dash of Parisian chic, and a small delicate white bag adorned with iridescent sequins.

The pièce de résistance is my iconic pink scarf with tiny sparkling diamonds – a reminder of the magic that surrounds us! It's subtle enough to add a touch of whimsy to my ensemble but also has that touch of Parisian flair that screams ‘Emma, the ballerina blogger’, darling.
