You know how I love my travels and, darling, this week has been a whirl of colour, creativity, and tutus - naturally. I landed in the Big Apple a few days ago, buzzing with excitement and ready to share every sparkling moment with you all.

A Tutu-ful Travel Diary
As always, I fund my travel adventures by performing, and this time, I was lucky enough to grace the stage of the grand Metropolitan Opera House with a role in "The Nutcracker". I'm so lucky to be a part of such a prestigious ballet company and to have this wonderful opportunity to travel the world. The energy backstage was electric - pure, unadulterated ballet bliss. I even managed to squeeze in a class with the talented students of the School of American Ballet. Just listening to the clicking of their shoes and watching their dedication was inspiring!
Now, I'm all about experiencing a new place through its sights, sounds, and most importantly, its fashion! After my whirlwind weekend, I'm ready to share my sartorial adventures with you. Today, we're diving into a few of the places that have stolen my heart and my attention (and perhaps my bank balance, too).
The Shopping Extravaganza
There's a magic about New York City, a certain twinkle that makes every shop window a dazzling spectacle. But let's face it, darlings, sometimes even the most stunning windows can't compete with a true bargain. I can't resist a good hunt for unique treasures and vintage pieces, so naturally, my first stop was the legendary SoHo.
It's a shopper's paradise, bursting with independent boutiques, designer flagship stores, and endless street-style inspiration. It was hard to choose, but my favourite find of the day was a whimsical, one-of-a-kind necklace from a little shop called "The Peacock's Feather". Its delicate chains and brightly coloured beads matched my mood perfectly, like a playful reminder that I'm right where I need to be.
After SoHo, it was onto Fifth Avenue, where every storefront felt like an opulent fairytale. But for me, the highlight was definitely Bergdorf Goodman. The luxurious window displays alone are worth a visit, a testament to the beauty of craftsmanship and design. I couldn't resist trying on a pair of shimmery stilettos that danced across the marble floors, a beautiful contrast to my pink tutu!
Broadway Dreams
The stage is where I truly come alive, but seeing a show on Broadway is a completely different experience. On Friday night, I watched the magic of "Wicked" unfold in all its theatrical glory. It was everything I hoped for, full of beautiful music, vibrant costumes, and dazzling performances. Even the emerald green backdrop brought a touch of envy to this self-proclaimed pink lover!
And just as I thought the weekend couldn't get any better, I experienced the magic of a* Gershwin-themed concert* at the magnificent Lincoln Center. The music flowed with an emotion that brought tears to my eyes, each note echoing the history of this grand venue. Who needs taxis when you've got the iconic New York Metro? It's a maze of tunnels that carries you beneath the bustling city, offering glimpses of life beyond the glossy facades. And as a true pink enthusiast, my travel companion? You guessed it! A pink tutu, naturally! Of course, no New York adventure is complete without a bite (or two!) at a classic deli. This time, I found myself at Katz's Delicatessen - a true New York institution. I don't think I've ever devoured a pastrami sandwich with such relish. It was the perfect fuel for a busy day of exploring!
