Hello my lovely readers! It's Monday, which means it's time for another fabulously pink installment of my New York City blog! As always, I'm channeling my inner ballerina, swirling and twirling through the Big Apple, with a pink tutu strapped on for good measure (naturally!). This week, my darling tutus and I embarked on a whirlwind adventure of ballet, fashion, and exploring the best that New York City has to offer!
Derbyshire Girl Makes Good in the City
Remember my sweet Derbyshire roots? I couldn't have made it this far without the incredible support of my friends and family back home. I'm so grateful for their encouragement and the way they always believe in me. From the charming Derbyshire Dales to the concrete jungle, it's been a beautiful journey so far. I wouldn't be living this dream if it wasn't for their love and support. ❤️
Subway Adventures with Tutu!
This week, I really embraced the spirit of New York City and used the subway extensively. The metro here is so fast, efficient, and affordable, it really is the way to get around the city! Yes, the packed trains can get a tad sweaty in peak times (a good chance to squeeze in a few secret ballet poses! 😉), but it's all part of the New York experience. Every ride has a story and every corner a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Just last week, I found a brilliant vintage shop tucked away next to a bustling Italian deli... talk about a perfect blend of old and new!
A Ballerina's Haven: New York City Ballet
Of course, no trip to New York is complete without a visit to the New York City Ballet! They were showcasing an amazing production of *George Balanchine’s * Symphony in C, which absolutely stole my breath away! The dancers were flawless, and the choreography was so captivating that I was lost in the music and movement for the entire performance. It was truly inspiring to see so much artistry in one space.
I absolutely love watching world-class ballet in New York! It's just so different from seeing a performance in my hometown theatre back in Derbyshire. Here in the City that Never Sleeps, the atmosphere is electric and you can just feel the passion in the air!
Flirting with Fashion at Bloomingdale's
You all know how much I love a good shopping spree, and this week was no different! I had to venture into the iconic Bloomingdale's and soak up all the gorgeousness that is New York City fashion. It was a real treat to peruse their amazing selection of designers, discover some hidden gems, and get my pink-loving heart a-flutter. I treated myself to a fabulous fuchsia cardigan that is perfectly on trend and will look fabulous paired with my pink tutu!

Today is Monday 20th May 2024, and the New York weather is absolutely glorious! It's sunshine, warm temperatures and perfect for enjoying a stroll through Central Park. Later, I'm planning a trip to the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art - one of my favourite places to get a dose of culture and marvel at beautiful artworks.
Next Week...
As you all know, I'm always on the lookout for a fabulous performance, so next week I'm planning to see Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre! Can't wait to be blown away by the costumes and spectacle - it's one of those musicals everyone has to see at least once. It's the ultimate NYC treat. I'm hoping to nab some killer snaps to share with you all!
