Hello lovelies! It's Monday, and that means it's time for a brand new Pink Tutu Blog post! ? As always, I'm back from another whirlwind week in fabulous New York City, ready to share all the fun with you, from dazzling ballet shows and street performances, to amazing fashion finds and a dash of delicious New York eats.
This week's post is extra special though, because it's all about… YOU! You fabulous, tutu-loving ladies. It's all about embracing the magic of pink and twirling with joy wherever you are in the world! ?
But before we delve into that, let's rewind back to my latest adventures in the city that never sleeps.
From the Stage to the Streets:
The week started with a performance that truly stole my heart. I landed a spot in a spectacular ballet piece at the Lincoln Center, dancing amongst some of the most talented performers in New York. ? It was an incredible experience, filling the stage with a symphony of twirls, leaps, and graceful movements. Feeling the energy of the audience was electric. Every performance brings with it a rush of adrenaline, a thrill of sharing the joy of dance. And as always, I got to twirl in my very special pink tutu, making it all the more magical!
Later that week, I got to immerse myself in the street art scene of New York. ? There was a stunning street performance in Washington Square Park featuring ballet, aerial dance, and acrobatics, all infused with a contemporary flair. The music was vibrant, the costumes bold and dazzling. Even without a tutu, it felt so exciting! It made me reflect on how the power of performance knows no boundaries - from grand stages to vibrant city streets, dance has a way of connecting with people on a very personal level.
Fashion Find of the Week:
But wait, there's more! This week, I stumbled upon the most amazing little boutique on Bleecker Street. ?️ It's called "Whimsical Threads" and it's packed with delightful clothes, accessories, and oh my, the most divine selection of tutus! You know how I love to pair my pink tutus with a fabulously fun outfit, and this little shop didn't disappoint! I emerged with a chic silk scarf printed with pink flamingos and a new pair of shoes - perfect for my ballet-inspired street style. It's always so rewarding to find unique pieces that express your personality and allow you to twirl your way through life!
Exploring the Subway, New York's Magic Tunnel:
Who says the metro can't be glamorous? My absolute favorite way to get around New York is by subway. ? I love the rhythmic rattle of the trains, the mix of people and cultures, the chance to spot some unique outfits - there's always an element of surprise, and for a true city dweller, it's a quintessential part of the experience. Plus, it’s incredibly efficient. My journey across the city might take 20 minutes by train, but often an hour if I'm in a cab during rush hour!
One of my most delightful journeys this week took me to the Upper West Side. I took the 1 train uptown, marveling at the fast-moving city through the window. It felt like a whirlwind of activity and energy. A testament to the undeniable energy of this extraordinary city.

Of course, no New York trip is complete without indulging in some delicious food. This week, I found myself gravitating towards classic comfort food. From the juiciest New York-style hot dogs and cheesy slices of pizza, to the irresistible cinnamon rolls from a bakery on the Lower East Side, it was a delicious exploration of iconic flavors. And let's be honest, nothing beats a slice of pizza enjoyed on a park bench on a sunny day.

I know you might be thinking, "Emma, you're in New York, living your best life in a pink tutu. That's so amazing!" But let me tell you, the magic of dance and the joy of embracing a pink tutu isn't just for the big city!
