Paris, Je T'aime! 🩰✨ (Post #286)

Bonjour mes amis! 🇫🇷

It's Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights, Paris! The train journey was divine, a smooth glide through the green countryside on the EuroStar, a beautiful ballet of itself. As usual, my pink tutu, a glorious explosion of pink tulle, caused quite a stir, with fellow passengers stealing admiring glances. After all, pink tutus aren't just for the stage, are they?

I've arrived in Paris with a suitcase full of dreams, a wardrobe brimming with exquisite fashion finds, and my heart brimming with excitement. My weekend plans? To delve into the Parisian whirl of dance, fashion, and culture, of course!

But before I unleash my Parisian adventures upon you, dear readers, let me rewind a little.

This week has been absolutely packed! 🩰

Friday’s Frolic in Derbyshire

I started the week with a brilliant performance in Matlock, Derbyshire, the county I call home. The "A Midsummer Night's Dream" was a triumph, with a magical cast, gorgeous costumes, and an audience that simply adored our little company. It was a truly rewarding performance - nothing beats the thrill of sharing my passion for dance with others! ✨

The icing on the cake was definitely the fabulous after-show reception, with champagne flowing and laughter echoing through the grand hall. As a dedicated dancer, it's my joy to perform and even more joyous to witness people embracing the enchantment of dance!

Saturday Shopping Shenanigans

It was a quick dash home and back to London for some serious shopping on Saturday. A new outfit for the trip was a must! I was after something with a Parisian chic but with a whimsical touch. A delicate floral printed blouse, a flowing blush-pink midi-skirt and my trusted pair of ballerina flats. The skirt danced effortlessly in the air with every turn, perfectly matching the vibe of this magical city. 💖

I also managed to snag some adorable floral hair clips and a vintage pink hat to complete my Parisian look. Who can resist a Parisian hat?!

A Sunday of Rest and Reflection

Sunday, my usual day of relaxation, was spent on quiet contemplation and planning my Paris adventures. The French have this uncanny ability to embrace the slower pace of life, something I find utterly charming and definitely worth learning from. As the day melted into dusk, I sat in my favourite comfy armchair with a cup of calming herbal tea and indulged in some daydreaming. I pictured myself exploring Parisian cobbled streets, stumbling upon charming cafes, and dancing in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. ✨

Monday Mania

Back in the studio, Monday began with an energetic ballet class, the familiar thrill of the barre invigorating both my body and mind. 🩰 I’m always inspired by the stories behind the music, and today it was Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”. That enchanting score always sparks such evocative imagery, transporting us to a world of graceful swans and noble princes. I can practically hear the sound of those delicate tutus rustling against the backdrop of this incredible music!

The day ended with rehearsals for our upcoming performance of “Sleeping Beauty,” my absolute favourite fairytale ballet. As a true ballet fanatic, this one holds a special place in my heart! 👑 It was pure magic, with the delicate dance of the Lilac Fairy filling me with awe and inspiring me with renewed enthusiasm.

The Enchanting Week Ends Here

And that, my lovely readers, is where I leave you for the week. You’ll find me soaking up the Parisienne charm and indulging in my favourite activities – dancing, sightseeing, shopping and sipping coffee in charming Parisian cafes. It's an absolute dream come true!

Until next Saturday, au revoir! ✨

P.S If you’re visiting Paris soon, here are a few Parisian delights that I highly recommend for those who share my love for ballet:
