#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #328: Ooh La La, Paris!

Bonjour mes chéries!

It's Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, here from the City of Lights! That's right, my darling readers, I've swapped my Derbyshire hills for Parisian cobblestones! I finally took the plunge and booked a EuroStar trip to the most fashionable city on earth! Can you imagine my excitement? It’s been on my to-do list for, well, practically ever!

The journey was simply delightful. I must confess I found myself whispering "Oh, là, là" with increasing frequency as we crossed the Channel. You know me, I can’t resist a touch of the dramatic! I even managed to strike a few en pointe poses (discreetly of course!) on the train, to the amusement of my fellow travellers. After all, who wouldn’t be impressed by a tutu-clad ballerina aboard a Eurostar?

Of course, I couldn't go to Paris without my pink tutu in tow. It seemed fitting! You know, it just made me feel at home. So I packed it up nice and tidy in my special ballerina travel bag (my pink one, naturally!).

My first evening in Paris was all about Parisian magic. We arrived in the early evening, and the air was buzzing with excitement. The city was sparkling with twinkling lights. The French charm was practically intoxicating! It's difficult to describe the feeling, but it's like all your senses are awakened. The delicious aromas, the vibrant colours, the music floating from cafe terraces… it’s pure enchantment.

And let's not forget the food! The croissant I devoured that evening was, to be quite frank, divine. As for my baguette? I think I could eat baguettes every single day! The crusty perfection just melts in your mouth!

My biggest Parisian adventure to date, though, has to be visiting the Garnier Opera House! Just stepping inside this magnificent building was an awe-inspiring experience! The grandeur, the gilded decoration, the intricate details… it felt like stepping straight into a ballet. I spent hours just admiring the beautiful architecture, letting the magical atmosphere wash over me.

Afterwards, I of course had to do some ballet-related souvenir shopping! The Parisian boutiques are simply divine. I picked up the cutest pink tutu-themed scarf (with the most adorable little ballerinas on it!), a pink ballet bag with sparkles, and of course a beautiful pink feather boa - because, what’s a ballerina’s life without a little bit of sparkle, darling?

Of course, I wouldn’t be in Paris without enjoying the iconic sights! I’ve already ticked off the Eiffel Tower, which is as stunning in person as in photographs. Climbing to the top gave me a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city, so romantic and breathtakingly beautiful! And let’s not forget the incredible views I captured while enjoying my first French picnic on the grassy slopes of the Champ de Mars - Parisian style, with strawberries, cream and the most beautiful macaroons! I just adore Parisian life. It's so easy to see why Paris is known for its romantic spirit! I’m in love with everything, from the architecture to the way the sun kisses the buildings.

I did some window shopping on the Champs-Élysées and, well, I just couldn’t resist popping into the legendary Dior flagship store. All those dazzling dresses, shoes and handbags… Oh mon dieu! If you’re a fan of fashion like me, then you’ll be absolutely spoilt for choice.

Now, I’m planning to catch a balletic performance this week - I can't tell you just how thrilled I am. I even picked up the prettiest tickets. They are a pale pink and white design that perfectly reflects the Parisian glamour I’ve already discovered. I plan to share all the details of the show in next week's blog! You know, the only thing that could make this Parisian trip even better is a fabulous ballet performance!

I will be sure to capture all the exciting moments and share them with you on my Instagram account, which I will link at the end of this post, of course!

And now, a question for you, darling readers! What do you think are must-sees when in Paris? What should I make sure to see before my journey ends? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay fabulous, and remember: it’s never too late to embrace your inner ballerina, wear your pink tutu with pride, and let your passion dance through life! Until next week, A bientot!

Love, Emma
