Bonjour mes amis! Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, fresh off the EuroStar and ready to bring a splash of pink to the streets of Paris! It's Saturday, the sun's shining, and the Eiffel Tower is practically calling out to me in a language I don't speak, but somehow understand completely. You know, the language of fabulousness, which translates pretty much the same everywhere!
Today, we're tackling Paris in style, and you can be sure a whole heap of pink will be making its appearance. My pink tulle tutu is packed (as it always is, naturally!), and I'm feeling like a ballerina ready to pirouette into a whirlwind of fashion, fun, and frills. After all, wouldn't it be lovely if everyone just rocked up in a pink tutu? The world would be a much brighter, sparklier place, don't you think?
First stop: breakfast! Now, Paris isn't exactly known for its English-style full breakfasts, but I managed to find a little café with a delightful selection of croissants (of course!), delicious pastries, and some strong coffee that would give a Derbyshire farmer a run for his money! I swear I saw a few curious Parisians eyeing my tutu with a hint of amusement. They must have been wondering why someone with such a fantastic sense of fashion would choose a full-blown, fluffy tutu over a sensible Parisian frock. "Because," I want to yell, "sometimes you just need to unleash the whimsical and twirl your worries away!" They looked intrigued.
After fuelling up on pink pastries, we decided to explore the area around the Eiffel Tower. The scenery is truly breathtaking! So many iconic views and beautiful buildings! It's the perfect spot for taking photos, and what better photo op than me in my pink tutu? Naturally, a little photo shoot was in order! Just me, a pink tutu, and the Eiffel Tower as my backdrop! It was pure pink perfection.
Now, the sun is at its zenith, and it's time for some lunch and shopping. My trusty tutu has transformed into an impromptu handbag, carrying my essentials for the day – lipstick, phone, and of course, my little travel sewing kit to ensure every ruffle is in perfect form. Paris is a treasure trove of delightful shops! It’s hard not to succumb to all the exquisite fashion choices - from vintage Parisian chic to the latest in high fashion, it’s all there! You can be sure I’m on the lookout for pink, pink, and more pink! It would be a shame to miss out on a Parisian souvenir, wouldn’t it?
A Showstopper
This evening, it's off to the theatre. Paris has a stunning theatre scene! My friend, Lily (another ballet fanatic) who’s visiting from Edinburgh, is in town, and we're seeing the Paris Opera Ballet in a performance of "La Bayadère". I can't wait! Seeing the classic beauty of ballet brought to life in this city that radiates artistry just makes me beam! It's going to be an evening of sheer elegance and beautiful costumes. The excitement of the performance is something that’s hard to describe; I’m sure you'll be reading a review on www.pink-tutu.com next week! We might even try and get Lily into a tutu – I know, daring, right?
