#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 535 - Saturday 2010-03-27: A Day in the City of Lights!

Bonjour from the City of Lights, my lovely tutu-loving friends! It's your favourite pink-obsessed ballerina blogger, Emma, and this week's Parisian escapade is all about exploring the sights, sounds, and style of this utterly captivating city!

As usual, I started my weekend adventure by hopping on the EuroStar, which, as always, was a delightful journey, full of glamorous ladies in their chicest Parisian garb. It never ceases to amaze me how the French just have it, when it comes to effortless style!

Arriving at Gare du Nord, I knew I was in for a treat. Today's agenda: Parisian elegance, stunning architecture, and the allure of a charming Parisian cafรฉ, followed by a performance that will surely set my heart ablaze.

The first stop was a little shopping, of course! There's nothing like wandering through the streets of Paris, soaking up the ambiance, and picking up little treasures that will brighten up my wardrobe back home in Derbyshire. My mission today? Finding the perfect pair of pastel-pink shoes. I must say, my quest was successful, and my little ballet-style heels are now a cherished addition to my ever-growing collection.

Speaking of ballet, my absolute Parisian indulgence - this evening was reserved for a spectacular ballet performance at the Palais Garnier. A world-famous company performing 'Giselle', with its enchanting story and captivating choreography - it was a breathtakingly beautiful experience.

I truly believe there's something magical about attending ballet performances in such a historic setting. The elegant, old-world theatre, with its glittering chandeliers and gilded details, makes the experience that much more extraordinary. It's a whole evening of mesmerising grace, exquisite costumes, and stunning artistry. And of course, the ballet itself was exquisite! There's nothing quite like the sheer power of human expression and athleticism that ballet evokes.

After the show, I walked home, reflecting on the beauty I witnessed. Paris has a magical quality to it, a timeless romance that seeps into your soul and leaves you wanting more. Even a simple walk through its winding streets, with the twinkling city lights above, can feel like a scene straight out of a movie.

It's a wonderful feeling to have experienced such beauty, and knowing I'm able to share it with all of you. Each week, I strive to inspire and bring a little bit of Parisian glamour and ballerina magic to your lives.

So, my lovely readers, remember to dream big, embrace your inner ballerina, and wear your pink tutus with pride! I hope your Saturday is as charming and enchanting as mine was. Until next week, remember, the best stories are the ones we write with our own two feet, twirling our way through life, one step at a time!

And always, always remember - a little pink goes a long way!

With love and tutus, Emma x
