Pink Tutu Blog: Paris, Chapter 565 - Oh, la la!

Bonjour, my lovely tutu-loving darlings! It’s Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure, this time in the magical city of Paris! And let me tell you, this week’s been pure Parisian perfection. From swirling through the city streets in a delicate pink tulle creation to sipping café au lait and watching the world go by, it’s been a whirlwind of pink delights.

For those of you who haven’t hopped onto the pink tutu express just yet, this week’s Parisian adventure marks blog post number 565 – a milestone that calls for a celebratory pirouette! It’s been a fantastic journey, sharing my love of ballet, fashion, and travel with all of you, and I can’t wait for what’s to come.

But before we get into the details of my Parisian escapades, let’s chat about the journey. It’s no secret that I'm a fan of a good train journey, and this time I opted for a swish ride on the EuroStar – a comfortable and oh-so-chic way to get to the City of Lights! I even managed to slip into my travelling tutu – a soft lavender number that twirled perfectly with the motion of the train – talk about stylish commuting!

Now, let's get down to the Parisian heart of this blog post – a Saturday in Paris is never dull, trust me! Today was all about taking in the iconic Parisian sights with a dash of pink sparkle.

I began the day with a stroll through the heart of Paris, exploring the grand avenues and cobblestone streets. What could be more chic than a ballet dancer in a tutu exploring the Eiffel Tower? This was definitely a highlight – imagining all the stories it held, from artists to lovers, a grand history that felt so romantic. Every photo, every turn felt so timeless.

Speaking of timeless beauty, it was then off to the Musée d’Orsay. This magnificent museum holds so much artistic wonder, with its impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. But the best part? I finally got my hands on that coveted Monet – it’s actually quite pink, who knew? I felt a real connection to it, to its soft colours and graceful lines. I’m not sure if it was just me, but there were more pink tutus at this museum than ever!

My afternoon was a whirlwind of fashion frenzy, filled with Parisian elegance and pink tulle dreams. I can’t tell you how many cute shops we stumbled upon! One particularly adorable boutique – La Boutique de Tulle – offered an absolutely irresistible array of tulle in every colour imaginable, even shimmering iridescent pinks that are calling my name for my next creation. It was tempting, oh so tempting, to buy it all! My suitcase wouldn't have fitted the mountain of fabric in the shop. A small amount will have to suffice, as there was an urgent need to check out the Chanel boutique...

But before I went all "Crazy for Chanel," I indulged in the Parisian pastime of people watching over steaming mugs of coffee at a charming café, and who could resist the Parisian charm of a beautifully baked macaron? Pink, naturally. It was absolutely heavenly – perfectly chewy, beautifully decorated with dainty details... just perfect. Every mouthful was like a bite of Parisian paradise!

And speaking of perfect, no Parisian adventure is complete without a spectacular show. Tonight’s treat? An enchanting performance by the Ballet Opéra de Paris at the Palais Garnier! A whirlwind of artistry, breathtaking choreography, and mesmerizing music – it was utterly spellbinding. As I twirled alongside my new pink tutu friends in the audience, I felt a real sense of joy, like I belonged, that this was where I was meant to be!

With so many magical moments packed into one Parisian Saturday, I must admit, my heart is filled to bursting with joy! And that’s a wrap on another chapter in my pink tutu journey. But fear not, my fellow twirling enthusiasts! There are many more Parisian adventures to come.

I can’t wait to share my next chapter in Paris, my dear readers! See you next week!

And until then, may your days be filled with pink twirls, glamorous adventures, and lots of lovely moments!

Adieu for now!

Your pink tutu friend, Emma
