Pink Tutu Blog: Paris! - #578 🩰🇫🇷

Bonjour, mon chéri! It's Emma here, ready to share another Parisian adventure with you all from the City of Lights! This Saturday I'm bursting with excitement – not just because I'm back in Paris, but also because this city seems to be completely embracing my pink tutu! 🎀 It feels like everyone is wearing something sparkly here, and let me tell you, that makes my heart skip a beat!

This trip is particularly special as I got to travel on the Eurostar – a beautiful, comfy way to reach Paris, and much less stressful than airports, I must say. As I stepped out of Gare du Nord and breathed in the crisp Parisian air, I knew I was home. I mean, home in the sense that Paris is always my happy place. 😉

Fashion, Fun, and Pink!

My first mission in Paris was to find the perfect outfit. Now, I have a bit of a thing for tulle, as you know. And luckily, Paris is a veritable wonderland of beautiful fabrics. I ended up snagging the most amazing blush pink tutu at a little boutique near the Louvre. I've paired it with a crisp white shirt, a delicate gold chain, and a chic pair of ballerina flats, because even ballerinas need comfortable footwear for exploring!

You might be wondering how I manage to afford all these trips. Well, it’s a bit of a balancing act! My ballet performances fund my travel, and honestly, there’s nothing quite like the adrenaline of performing, followed by the pure joy of experiencing a new city.

A Day of Culture and Indulgence

This weekend was jam-packed with experiences! The Musée d'Orsay – that's one of my favourites, with its incredible impressionist collection. I could have spent hours in that building, but I've got to save some time for the other delights Paris has to offer. I absolutely adore wandering through the streets, exploring charming little cafes and watching street performers. There's something so inspiring about the energy of this city.

My highlight this weekend was definitely the performance I saw at the Théâtre de l’Athénée. The ballet was called “L'Histoire de Babar”, and let me tell you, it was so beautiful and imaginative. The dancing was exquisite, and it brought a lump to my throat – a good one, mind you! I’ve definitely added this one to my top Parisian performance memories!

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping

No trip to Paris would be complete without indulging in a bit of retail therapy, would it? I love strolling down the Champs-Élysées, discovering hidden boutiques, and window-shopping until my heart's content! This weekend I treated myself to a new beret, and oh my goodness, it’s divine! Of course, I'll have a whole blog post dedicated to the gorgeous new clothes I bought, because sharing my discoveries with you is so important!

Parisian Perfection

Evenings in Paris are always magical, whether it's a cozy café with a steaming cup of chocolat chaud or strolling along the Seine with a view of the twinkling Eiffel Tower. I can't help but feel a little bit like a fairy tale princess in Paris. Everything feels romantic and beautiful!

Call to Action!

Oh, my dear readers! Don't forget – every Saturday, I share new adventures with you on www.pink-tutu.com, so make sure to pop over and tell me all about your favourite pink tutus!

This week I have to leave you. The call of the Seine is beckoning, and a friend is coming to visit, so I'll be busy exploring more Parisian gems. I'll keep you updated, of course!

Au revoir, mes amis! 🇫🇷 🩰

With love,

Emma
