Bonjour, darlings!
This Saturday marks another magical journey for your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger. Today, I'm whisking you all off to the City of Lights – Paris! Oh, how I love Paris!
Remember last week's post when I mentioned a rather exciting trip on the horizon? Well, darling, that trip is officially underway! It was a bit of a blur - the whirlwind of packing, triple checking my itinerary (because, let's face it, a girl's got to be organised!), and saying goodbye to the rolling green hills of Derbyshire (sadly no pink tutus spotted in the Peak District, but there's always hope for next time!)
But my Eurostar adventure was just delightful. This train is the epitome of chic – I even saw a group of stylish Parisian women rocking some seriously fantastic hats. I couldn’t help but feel inspired! Of course, no pink tutu adventure is complete without some outfit coordination.
My Paris look? A blush-coloured, billowing tutu, naturally! I paired it with a delicate silk blouse and a vintage beret – all adorned with an array of playful, pastel-pink accessories, of course. I may have even squeezed in a little pre-train show in my flat – imagine a pink cloud twirling on a tiny stage in Derbyshire, that was the sight to behold!
Arriving in Paris was just surreal. The bustling Gare du Nord, with its ornate architecture, was a breathtaking welcome to this iconic city. As I took in the first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, I nearly squealed with delight! And did I tell you how good croissants taste fresh out the bakery? Honestly, I may be dedicating a whole post just to Parisian pastries…
*Let's Get Cultural: *
One of the best things about being in Paris, apart from the food (did I mention I love croissants?!), is the incredible cultural scene!
This week, the calendar is jam-packed. Tonight, darling, I'm seeing "Les Misérables" – not in English, gasp, but the original French, how glamorous is that! The thought of all that drama and grandeur, it’s thrilling!
I also booked a slot for ballet class on Wednesday. It's at the illustrious École de Danse de Paris! I’ve never attended a class outside Derbyshire, and I can't wait to be amongst like-minded dancers.
Of course, the ultimate Paris experience is to catch a performance at the legendary Opéra Garnier! It's already on my "must-do" list! The exquisite interiors and the sheer grandeur… sighs
Oh! The Shopping:
No trip to Paris is complete without a proper Parisian shopping spree! This is not just about clothes, darling! I'm looking for unique souvenirs, delicate lace doilies to decorate my Derbyshire apartment, and perhaps even some charming French ballet books – a girl's got to cultivate her inner ballerina.
Of course, I'll be checking out the latest ballet shoes and outfits at some of Paris’s best boutiques. Let’s just say, if there's a blush pink pointe shoe on the market, I’m bringing it back home.
Keeping It Real:
Now, this blog is all about positive vibes and sparkling tutus. But let's be real for a second. Travelling can be tricky, right? There's the travel time, the cost… But, darling, I work hard! My ballot performances earn me just enough to keep chasing my dream – travelling and spreading the pink tutu joy!
And honestly, wouldn’t you say it’s worth every penny for the amazing memories?
