Pink Tutu Paris - Post #641 - A Saturday in the City of Lights!

Bonjour, my darlings! Emma here, fresh from the Eurostar and already feeling the magic of Paris. It's Saturday, 7th April, and the Parisian spring is blooming beautifully, just like my tutu! Oh, you haven't seen my new tutu? It's a divine shade of pale pink with delicate embroidery, a little bit of sparkle, and enough tulle to create the fluffiest cloud. I practically bounced onto the Eurostar platform I was so excited, and you know what? A charming gentleman, sporting a fetching beret, even stopped me to compliment my tutu!

This trip has been months in the planning, a reward for all the hard work with the Derbyshire Dance Company. You see, I'm a professional ballerina, and thanks to a successful run of Swan Lake in our little theatre, I'm finally in Paris. Oh, it’s truly a dream come true! I love the romance of travelling by train. Everything feels a little bit more magical when you're speeding through countryside, passing quaint little villages and sleepy towns.

Speaking of dreams, today's agenda is jam-packed with all the things I adore: ballet, fashion, and some exquisite Parisian delights! This afternoon I'm off to the Palais Garnier, the jewel of Parisian opera houses! It's an absolute spectacle of a building – intricate details, soaring ceilings, and an abundance of gold – truly fitting for the grand theatre that it is! I've snagged a ticket to see Swan Lake performed by the illustrious Paris Opera Ballet. How utterly thrilling!

Afterwards, it wouldn't be a trip to Paris without indulging in a bit of retail therapy! My sights are set on some chic boutiques, vintage shops with whispers of history, and maybe even a trip to the famous department store, Printemps Haussmann. A Parisian adventure would be incomplete without some beautifully-made clothes, wouldn't you agree? After all, what better backdrop than Paris to debut a brand new, pink tutu, perfectly coordinated with my chic Parisian ensemble?

Dinner will be a delicate affair in the heart of the city. It would be a sin not to try some authentic French cuisine! A glass of sparkling rosé and delicious croque monsieur? Oui, please! Then perhaps some fromages, baguettes, and the sweet sound of the Parisian night...

But first, let me introduce you to my fellow travel companions - my trusty travel notebook, brimming with lists of must-visit museums, cafes and hidden corners of this incredible city; a copy of 'Paris by Train', my new favourite book filled with delightful stories of Parisian history; and my ever-faithful camera, ready to capture every magical moment of this Parisian escapade!

This is just the beginning of my Paris adventure, darlings, and there will be so much more to share with you. I promise to fill this blog with all the wonders of the city: stunning architecture, delicious food, fascinating culture, and perhaps a glimpse into the lives of the Parisian people! And of course, no Pink Tutu Paris post would be complete without sharing my adventures in the ballet world. Oh, I can hardly wait to share my adventures!

Be sure to tune in next Saturday for my next update from the City of Lights, where I'll be revealing all about the ballet performance and sharing my fashion discoveries! Until then, don’t forget to spread the Pink Tutu Love! And maybe even consider adding a touch of pink to your wardrobe... It's time to unleash your inner ballerina!

Yours truly, Emma www.pink-tutu.com
