Pink Tutu Paris: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #707)

Hello, darlings! It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris blog post. I'm so excited to be sharing this Parisian adventure with you! As you know, I'm a girl who loves to travel, and Paris has always been a dream destination for me.

I arrived yesterday by Eurostar – can you believe it?! It was like a scene out of a fairytale, chugging through the beautiful countryside and into the heart of Paris. The sleek, modern train is always so elegant, and I swear, I was channeling Audrey Hepburn with my pink tutu, oversized sunglasses, and vintage suitcase. (You all know I never miss an opportunity to make an entrance!).

This week I’ve decided to focus on the magic of Paris, because it truly is the most romantic city in the world. The cobblestone streets, the quaint cafés, the towering Eiffel Tower – every corner breathes beauty and history. I even spotted a ballet performance advertised on a street lamp - so naturally, I've booked tickets for this evening. The ballet was one of the main reasons for my trip, after all!

Bonjour from Montmartre

After unpacking at my darling little boutique hotel, I knew exactly where to go first: the charming Montmartre neighbourhood! The artists, the cobbled streets, the street performers – the energy is contagious! It was here I stumbled upon the most delightful little boutique selling vintage dresses. The owner, a petite woman with fiery red hair, gave me the warmest welcome. I’ve bought some fabulous, flirty dresses – perfect for my Parisian escapades!

While browsing for beautiful treasures in the Montmartre vintage shops, I met the most wonderful gentleman. He's a street artist, and he was creating a masterpiece with vibrant colours. He even let me try my hand at chalk art!

The Parisian Pink Princess (and how to embrace your own inner ballerina)

My favourite part of my Parisian exploration has been embracing the Parisian spirit of fashion and elegance. There’s a je ne sais quoi to Paris, a way of being that inspires every facet of life, including fashion. As I strutted along the Seine with my pink tutu swirling around me, I felt completely at home, and utterly glamorous.

Here's a tip from the Pink Tutu Paris Princess: Embrace your inner ballerina no matter where you go. Just like the graceful movement of the ballet dancers, life is meant to be elegant and free. Wear a pink tutu, dance your way through your day, and be bold!

Speaking of embracing your inner ballerina, let's chat a bit about fashion.

The Parisian Style Edit: Pink and Parisian Perfection

There is just something so effortlessly stylish about Parisiennes, don't you agree? They have an uncanny ability to pull together beautiful outfits, often from the most simple elements, and make it look incredibly chic. Today, I’ve embraced the Parisian style mantra: effortless elegance and a touch of playful pink.

Today's outfit:
A delicate, blush-pink polka-dot blouse paired with a navy blue midi skirt. (It was love at first sight at the Montmartre vintage shop!) I tied a soft, pink satin ribbon around my waist for a pop of colour, and, of course, finished off with a stunning pink tutu. Oh, and some dainty ballet shoes – essential for a true Parisian ballet-inspired style.

Top Parisian Fashion Finds: * I’ve already fallen in love with a vintage clothing store in Le Marais. I’m going back tomorrow for a longer browse, as I haven’t even explored half the shop yet! * The vintage leather gloves I purchased on Rue de Rivoli. These are so gorgeous, and a definite must-have for any Parisian wardrobe!

Pink Tutu in the City of Lights: More than a ballet girl

But hey, I’m not just here for the pretty things (although, the fashion here is phenomenal!) My trip has given me an amazing chance to explore the ballet scene in Paris. Today I am venturing to the heart of Parisian dance - the Palais Garnier! The legendary opera house and ballet theatre - it’s so magnificent it almost makes me want to twirl on the grand staircase!

Oh! And there is so much more to share about Paris - from the delightful food at my local patisserie, to the views of the Eiffel Tower at sunset… But that is for another blog post!

Until next week, my dearest Pink Tutu darlings, stay fabulous, and don't forget to wear pink!

Bisous, Emma x
