Bonjour mes amies! It's your girl Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights, where I'm whirlwind touring, all dressed up in my pink tutu, of course! This week's Paris post is bursting with Parisian charm – think elegant cafes, charming boutiques, inspiring museums, fabulous ballet shows, and a whole lotta pink.
I arrived in Paris on Thursday, feeling like a princess thanks to the magical EuroStar ride. It's always such an adventure, being swept across the English Channel into another country. This trip is a special one, as it's the weekend of the world-renowned Ballet de l'Opéra national de Paris! Can you believe it?!
Friday was all about shopping, naturally. You all know I'm a total shopaholic, and Paris is like a giant candy shop for clothes! I scampered around the beautiful boutiques in the chic Marais district, discovering the most delicate, lacy pieces, which just scream "Parisian ballerina!" I can't resist a touch of tulle, so I treated myself to the most divine pink skirt, perfect for twirling in the Parisian streets! I think I need to write a post dedicated to all my fabulous Paris purchases – you won't believe the sparkle and shimmer!
Saturday, however, is for culture! I started my day with a breakfast croissant and a café au lait at a charming little café tucked away on a cobblestoned side street. Then it was off to the Musée d'Orsay, home to some of the most impressive Impressionist paintings in the world. I got a little lost in Monet's dreamy landscapes and Degas' exquisite ballerinas. Their femininity and elegance are truly inspiring, and I could just feel myself sinking into the beauty of it all.
But, the highlight of the day is just around the corner! This evening, the magical world of the ballet comes alive! I've snagged tickets to see the breathtaking Swan Lake at the Opéra Bastille - what a dream! It's the most beautiful venue, all glistening chandeliers and ornate decorations, just perfect for the most enchanting night filled with grace and movement. I can't wait to see the graceful dancers take flight, to be whisked away to a world of love, magic, and swans. I know I'm going to be enchanted by every twirl and leap!
Later this evening, I'll post a picture on PinkTutuBlogParis of my stunning pink tutu outfit that I'm wearing for the ballet - just for you, my loves! It's a little pink magic, you could say, with a touch of elegant French flair.
I'm planning a post dedicated to all the wonderful ballet shows I see in Paris, so keep an eye out! There are so many magical productions happening, and I'm so excited to share it all with you. I just know you're going to adore the incredible talent I witness on these stages.
