#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 791: Parisian Whirlwind!

Bonjour mes chéries!

It's Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! 🇫🇷 I'm so excited to share all the Parisian magic with you lovely lot this week, as you know I'm a big fan of exploring new cities, and what better way to do it than with a sprinkle of pink tutu and a whole lotta love for the beautiful things in life! This week has been a total whirlwind of romance, fashion, and of course, ballet, all of which will be detailed in this here post for your reading pleasure. I just adore Paris - I've always dreamed of being able to live there, it's like stepping into a storybook!

The EuroStar Adventure

It wouldn't be a proper #PinkTutuBlogParis post without a little talk about the train journey. Now, I have to say, travelling on the Eurostar is an absolute treat. You feel like you're in your very own luxurious carriage, zipping past gorgeous countryside, and I find it super relaxing compared to flying. This time, I felt extra fabulous, my tulle was all perfectly fluffed out, and I couldn't resist a little waltz around the carriage. Don't worry, I didn't scare the other passengers too much. 😂

A Pink Tutu's Parisian Adventure

My Parisian odyssey started in style. Imagine this - walking through Gare du Nord in a cloud of pink tulle, feeling every bit the Parisian ballerina! As always, my pink tutu added an extra dash of fairytale charm to the city. Paris simply begs for pink tutus!

I was determined to make the most of my Parisian adventures, so I set out on a whirlwind tour of everything that I love, all perfectly punctuated by that beautiful Parisian air. Oh, la la!

First stop, Shopping Therapy

First things first, what is a Parisian adventure without a little retail therapy? I just had to explore the glorious Parisian fashion houses, my favourite spot, of course, being Galeries Lafayette. It is absolutely bursting with couture dreams. Their windows are magical! And let me tell you, their beauty counters? Absolute perfection! They had a brand-new pink lipstick which I just had to have. 😉

Le Ballet!

But let's be honest, a real Parisian adventure for a ballerina like me had to involve ballet. I had booked tickets to the legendary Opéra Garnier, to see "La Bayadère." Oh, my goodness, you just have to see it, the music, the dancing, the sheer beauty - a true Parisian delight! It had me dreaming in my pink tutu all through the evening. There was one scene where a soloist performed a series of pirouettes with incredible speed - you could hear a pin drop!

Pink Tutu on the Streets of Paris

It wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu blog post without me giving you some styling inspiration, darling. This week I embraced a truly Parisian chic look. Think pastel-coloured cashmere jumpers and delicate, whimsical cardigans, layered with, you guessed it, my trusty pink tutu! It added the perfect touch of sweetness and playful whimsy. I am so obsessed with pairing the tutu with cute Parisian shops and cafes. It really takes my outfits to a new level.

Exploring Montmartre

I simply had to explore Montmartre, the iconic artists' district, and of course, take a peak at the iconic Sacré-Coeur Basilica. There's just such an inspirational vibe up there, the artists working on their pieces and the cobbled streets leading up to the basilica. I can totally understand why this part of Paris has inspired artists for centuries.

Eating My Way Through Paris

Now, every good adventure needs delicious food and drink, so my French adventure was accompanied by indulging in perfectly crafted pastries, delicious fresh baguettes and divine cups of coffee in charming cafes. The aromas in Paris were an absolute treat, the smell of fresh croissants... simply delightful!

Paris, the City of Lights

This trip was a true whirlwind romance with the City of Lights. Paris is truly a place where anything is possible - especially wearing pink tutus.

Until next week, my loves,

Stay sweet, stay pink,

Emma xx
