Pink Tutu in Paris: #PinkTutuBlogParis #856

Bonjour from the City of Lights! It's your girl Emma, back for another Parisian adventure and my #PinkTutuBlogParis post! This Saturday, 21st May 2016, found me on the streets of Paris, feeling like a whimsical, twirling ballerina in my blush pink tulle masterpiece. It's practically my uniform!

Paris, the heart of fashion, culture, and beauty - it really doesn't get any better than this, does it? I whisked myself here aboard the Eurostar - such a delightful, efficient way to travel. Honestly, nothing beats a cuppa and a croissant whilst gliding through the countryside, dreaming about the magic waiting in the French capital.

Speaking of magic, the ballet season here is spectacular. You could say my arrival coincided perfectly with my need for a little je ne sais quoi on the Parisian dance stage.

Now, a quick recap for you newbies who stumbled upon my corner of the internet. I'm Emma, a ballerina from Derbyshire, England. My mission is to get the whole world twirling in pink tutus. Every Saturday, I share my adventures here on www.pink-tutu.com - a digital space dedicated to the joys of pink, tutus, ballet, and a whole lot of girly loveliness! I fund my travels through the magic of ballet performances - yes, I am lucky enough to be paid to dance, talk about a dream job!

Today's agenda is packed, as always, with all the pink and tulle-tastic experiences you could ever wish for! Let me fill you in on this wonderful Saturday in Paris, a day of shopping, exploring, and indulging in all things #PinkTutuParis.

The Louvre: A Pink Tutu Makes it Chic!

After a divine French breakfast (can't miss those fluffy pastries!) I headed straight to the Louvre. It's impossible to come to Paris and not visit this world-famous museum. Now, I may not be a history buff but trust me, there's more to see than just the Mona Lisa! The collection of artwork is astonishing, but so is the architecture and the beauty of the palace itself. Did I mention it's completely possible to twirl in the grand halls without a care in the world? Yes, I found myself twirling through centuries of artistic masterpieces in a full-on pink tutu. You could call me a whimsical ambassador for art - who says tutus don't belong in museums? I may be the only one doing it, but that's my mission, isn't it? To encourage everyone to express themselves creatively and joyfully.

Shopping Till We Drop! (In a Tutu)

Paris is, of course, a fashionista's paradise. My favourite spot for pink delights is Les Halles, a bustling indoor market full of amazing little shops with exquisite clothes and accessories - think delicate vintage lace and silky pastel scarves. It’s like a sartorial candyland for any girly girl.

Did I mention that Pink Tutus are totally on trend in Paris? It’s true, at least where my fabulous style is concerned. You’ll see me sporting mine on all my adventures in Paris.

Oh La La! A Parisian Ballet Feast!

I was so excited for my main event - a performance of Swan Lake at the Palais Garnier. The Opéra de Paris is absolutely stunning – breathtaking architecture and breathtaking talent on the stage. Watching graceful dancers interpreting Tchaikovsky’s music with such passion … truly mesmerising! The audience, too, added to the energy of the night – a wave of emotion surged through the entire theater, and I just loved feeling part of it.

After the show, I indulged in some hot chocolate at a charming little café right by the Eiffel Tower. It’s always nice to reflect on such a wonderful ballet performance with a hot chocolate and a pastry! Plus, with the tower sparkling in the background, the entire evening felt like a beautiful fairy tale. It truly made the trip worth it.

My Pink Tutu Parisian Musings

This post-show, I can’t help but reflect on how perfect this day has been! The French love for fashion and the arts really shone through – it's so infectious! There’s truly a magic about this city.

I’m going to share my favourite parts with you:

  • Pink Tutus, they truly do fit in, everywhere you go! I’ve definitely found a love for spreading the joy of pink tutus, and Paris has definitely shown me how much of a style icon I actually am!

  • The City of Love really is something special! You feel a romantic atmosphere everywhere you go, whether you're strolling through gardens, enjoying delicious food or watching ballet - the city's beauty and elegance really make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

  • Paris really brings out the ballerina in everyone. The city feels so dance-inspired, with its grand buildings, chic fashion, and elegant cafes. It's no wonder Paris is a place where creativity flourishes. And I've felt the artistic spirit coursing through me too. It really helps me channel my own inner dancer.

I hope my little journey in Paris has brought you joy too, and inspired you to get a pink tutu. Remember, a pink tutu is a powerful symbol of happiness and confidence!

I'll leave you with my best #PinkTutuParis wish for you this week: Embrace your dreams and make the most of every day! You never know, your journey could lead you to Paris one day, pink tutu and all! Au revoir, mes chers!
