Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🇫🇷 💖 🩰 (Post #871)

Bonjour, my darlings! Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, and I'm back with a brand new post, straight from the heart of Paris!

I've arrived, after a smooth journey on the Eurostar. This week, we're saying "Au revoir" to Derbyshire and "Bonjour" to the magic of Paris! Can you believe it's already September? Time really does fly when you're busy pirouetting through life, eh? 😉

My Paris escapade is being funded by the fabulous fees I earn from my ballet performances - because a girl's gotta pay for her tulle and travel expenses! ✨ I'm so lucky to have found this fantastic life balance where I get to follow my passion, travel the world, and share my adventures with all of you!

And speaking of travel... Oh my goodness, the train journey was truly delightful! The Eurostar, in case you didn't know, is practically a luxury carriage! Comfortable seats, plenty of space for my tutu bag (which, as always, was brimming with a fabulous selection of pink tulle masterpieces, of course), and the most delightful on-board café serving the most divine pain au chocolat. Honestly, I could have spent the whole trip devouring them! But I'm all about those graceful lines, and overindulging wouldn't be conducive to those pirouettes, now would it? 😉

And then... we arrived! As the train pulled into Gare du Nord, the iconic Parisian scenery greeted me: grand buildings, bustling streets, and an atmosphere brimming with energy and life. You know, I feel like I belong here.

Day 1: Shopping, Scones and Splendour

I couldn't wait to experience Paris. After I checked into my quaint little hotel – nestled on a charming, cobblestone street – I dropped off my luggage and ventured out into the Parisian paradise. You see, dear readers, shopping is an integral part of my Paris adventures! A good, old-fashioned, delightful shopping spree is like a delightful ballet pas de deux – a beautiful dance of finding the perfect items.

So, where to begin? Let's just say my Parisian journey started off with an afternoon dedicated to those glorious French treasures - delicious macarons and even more delectable crêpes. Of course, a little shopping had to be done. I even managed to score the cutest little Parisian beret - so much chic! I popped it on with my tutu for a perfect Parisian ensemble. 💖

Later, I made my way to the charming Ladurée store near the Champs-Élysées. Imagine – the most breathtaking macarons, delicately arranged, with all the vibrant colours of the rainbow! Each one was a tiny, adorable masterpiece, and I simply had to have at least a dozen! I'm already a fan of everything pink, but these macarons were simply divine – a beautiful pink creation that looked almost too perfect to eat!

Of course, no Paris trip is complete without a visit to the legendary Ladurée. Can you imagine? A beautiful room, light streaming in from a Parisian courtyard, filled with the sweet, delicate fragrance of macarons and warm pastries. There is nothing like it, truly.

And to cap off the day, I went for a classic English tea and scone at the hotel – something comforting to enjoy before my much-anticipated Parisian ballet performance. I had been looking forward to it ever since I'd booked my trip, and now I couldn’t wait. It was an incredible ballet performance – something magical and captivating, and one I'll cherish for a long time! The dancers were simply breathtaking! It was a night of beautiful artistry, elegant costumes, and pure, unadulterated ballet perfection. ✨

Day 2: Parisian Wonders

This day was for exploring. Paris is absolutely buzzing with life. Today was about walking cobbled streets, enjoying cafes, and indulging in some French treats. I had the best croissant! Croissants – those fluffy, flaky little treasures, how could I resist?!

I decided to start the day by visiting the Eiffel Tower – the ultimate Paris icon. From a distance, it looks magnificent, but as you get closer, the towering structure becomes even more impressive. I was amazed by its grace, the elegant lines, the meticulous craftsmanship. You know, there’s a certain ballerina-like elegance to it, don't you think? 🩰 I even managed to capture some stunning photos, a little ballet pose on a bridge over the Seine! The Eiffel Tower really is an emblem of beauty.

From there, it was onto Notre Dame Cathedral, where I soaked in the breathtaking architecture, feeling an overwhelming sense of history. Every corner of this city speaks of centuries past, and I find myself drawn to its vibrant cultural heritage. I am constantly fascinated by stories from history – especially stories about legendary dancers and ballerinas who performed here!

I had to spend a few hours shopping again. It wouldn't be a true Parisian experience without it! I found a few more tutus - with exquisite detailing! And, of course, I just had to buy some beautiful flowers. They remind me of those lovely dancers I see in the theatre. 🌹 I can't wait to create a little floral centerpiece at home in Derbyshire.

As evening approached, I indulged in a delightful evening dinner, a typical Parisian cuisine experience – oh so exquisite! They served steak frites and escargot – a culinary journey that was, to say the least, rather interesting.

Day 3: The Palace of Versailles

I have been looking forward to visiting Versailles! Ever since I watched that incredible ballet performance of 'The Three Musketeers', I’ve been completely enchanted with French history, the elegance and opulence of the court, the costumes. So, I had to visit. The Palace of Versailles is like a ballet costume itself - so much elaborate grandeur, incredible intricate detail, so breathtaking. I loved the Grand Hall of Mirrors! I practically danced in place as I admired its elegance and history. And the gardens are so exquisite! Truly, it was like stepping into a grand ballet.

And what's a visit to Paris without indulging in a few treats? 🍰 After a long day exploring Versailles, I ended my day with some divine, classic, and, dare I say, elegant French pastries, and of course, more pink macarons! You can't have too many macarons. Ever! 😉

My Parisian Dream Come True

This Parisian experience has been simply incredible! From the delicious pastries and charming cafes to the magnificent ballet performances and the breathtaking historical sights, Paris has exceeded my wildest dreams!

I've been spreading my pink tutu love around the city - wearing my favorite tulle creations everywhere I go! And I must say, it has inspired many Parisians to embrace their own playful sides, maybe even a hint of ballet spirit! We are already planning a 'Pink Tutu Flash Mob' outside the Eiffel Tower! Isn't that exciting? 😉

Now, my dears, as I prepare to pack up my tutu bag, it’s hard to say "Au revoir" to Paris. But I have a feeling I'll be back soon. Perhaps a quick detour next year on the Eurostar? 🚄 It's so easy to get here – a dream destination that is truly accessible! And who knows what other magical performances and elegant adventures await!
