Paris, je t'aime! #PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 992

Bonjour mes chers amis! It's Emma, back from my latest adventure – a whirlwind trip to the City of Lights! My #PinkTutuBlogParis posts are always a joy to write, filled with sunshine and smiles, and this one's no exception.

This weekend was pure magic. I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to be back in Paris. You know I adore taking the EuroStar, that iconic silver bullet slicing through the English countryside on its way to the Continent. I always feel like a glamorous, modern-day Alice falling into a beautiful, exciting rabbit hole of a different world. The sense of anticipation builds as you near the French countryside, the quaint villages blurring past the windows – it’s just delightful. And let’s not forget that hot cuppa, perfect for watching the world roll by.

This time, the highlight of my journey was a performance at the iconic Théâtre des Champs-Élysées! Now, anyone who knows me understands the thrill I get when stepping into a beautiful theatre, smelling that intoxicating scent of worn velvet seats and a hushed anticipation that only comes from knowing a magical performance awaits. This time, the program was a dazzling contemporary ballet choreographed by the brilliant Victor Hugo. It was pure artistry, breathtaking to watch, and made my toes twitch with a desire to join them! I just wish I’d had a tutu on. But no worries – I’ll just be sure to wear one next time!

Paris is overflowing with exciting performance opportunities, it's just a haven for ballet fans. Before the big show at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, I caught a stunning ballet street performance in the Tuileries Garden. The dancers were amazing, twisting and twirling right there on the cobblestones in the heart of Paris! You see, even in Paris, ballet has its place on the streets – proof that art can thrive in the most unexpected places.

Now, where would my adventure be complete without a visit to a local ballet school, right? Imagine me, standing there, surrounded by mirrors, a delicate cloud of pink tulle swishing with every movement. It was the best ballet class I've ever had! The Parisian dancers are incredible, passionate and vibrant, truly embracing every element of the dance with their hearts.

Ah, the wonders of Parisian culture! The energy, the art, the food… all bursting with joie de vivre. The smell of fresh croissants, the sight of Parisian women elegantly strutting by in chic dresses, the sounds of French melodies... it's pure romance. Oh, and speaking of romance, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. It truly is a majestic symbol of the city, glowing in the twilight like a beacon of love and beauty. My Instagram followers had a field day with my #pinktutuselfie against the twinkling tower backdrop!

Now, the shopping in Paris... oh, the shopping! This time, my Parisian wanderings led me to the quaint little boutiques of Montmartre. They were like little secret gems, hidden in the winding cobblestone streets. I picked up a beautiful, blush-pink sweater – perfect for wearing to my next ballet performance! You know, even on chilly winter days, you can embrace the Parisian style with a touch of pink in your wardrobe.

Every journey deserves a delightful culinary treat. Paris doesn’t disappoint! I'm a huge fan of classic Parisian bistro fare and the sweet pastries that abound in every charming boulangerie. This trip, I treated myself to a delicious French onion soup and a delightful flaky croissant with fresh jam. You simply can't resist the lure of these sweet and savory treats, it’s an absolute delight!

The most exciting part? My very own pink tutu collection was a real hit with the Parisians! It’s wonderful how people of all ages would smile and cheer, appreciating my little gesture of colour and fun. My motto remains the same - I believe everyone should own a pink tutu. Life’s too short for bland outfits. Go on, unleash your inner ballerina and add a splash of pink to your life!

On this adventure, my journey wasn't just about seeing iconic landmarks and savouring delicious treats. It was about immersing myself in the artistic heart of Paris and taking inspiration from its charming cafes, its beautiful gardens, its fascinating streets. As my train hurtled back towards Derbyshire, I couldn't help but reflect on how my heart felt lighter than ever, overflowing with memories and newfound inspiration for my ballet life back home. It’s amazing what a trip to Paris can do for a ballerina girl!

I'm excited to tell you all about it in detail! Remember, you can catch more photos, updates, and glimpses of my #pinktutu life on my Instagram - @Emma_PinkTutu. Until next week, dear friends! Don't forget to visit www.pink-tutu.com every Saturday to keep up with all my Parisian adventures!
