My Eurostar journey was delightful – who wouldn’t adore zooming through the countryside in a swish, sleek, comfy train with a glass of champagne in hand? I think I could easily spend my whole life in these beautiful carriages. I even felt inspired enough to slip on my brand new pink tutu for the journey, a new feather boa adding a touch of glamour to the train. 😉 You never know who you might bump into! After all, Paris is the most fashionable city in the world and every day’s a runway here!
Saturday 25th May - A Pink-Filled Parisian Dream!
Today’s Parisian escapade began with the quintessential breakfast of pain au chocolat and a cafe au lait. I mean, what’s a Paris trip without a croissant and a good cuppa?! I took my time strolling along the charming cobbled streets of Montmartre, soaking in the bustling energy of this colourful quarter. You can find some real artistic treasures in those little vintage shops - you just have to be patient and you never know what beauty you'll unearth.
In the afternoon, I indulged in some Parisian retail therapy! There’s something magical about the shops on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees. The beautiful displays, the air of sophistication, it all makes for a very inspiring afternoon of shopping! I spotted the most divine pink cardigan and knew I simply had to have it. I just have a thing for pink! 😉
Of course, I made time for a quintessential Parisian ballet class! It's impossible to visit Paris without adding a little pirouette to your schedule! The studio had floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a vibrant square filled with people enjoying the sunshine. It felt like the most elegant Parisian experience imaginable!
Paris: The Ultimate Pink Paradise!
This city truly embraces every shade of pink. From the charming pink macarons at Laduree, to the vibrant pink blooming flowers, the playful pink signage, the pink sunsets over the Seine... Paris is truly the ultimate pink paradise! This city is so romantic and filled with the most beautiful architectural structures I’ve ever seen. I can understand why they call it “The City of Lights”!
You've just got to love the Parisian architecture. These ancient buildings with their intricate carvings and beautiful flourishes are truly something special. I could spend days just wandering around admiring them, soaking up the artistic energy that permeates every nook and cranny of this vibrant city.
And you can't come to Paris without catching a ballet performance. I went to the magnificent Palais Garnier Opera House last night - truly spectacular! I gasped at the ornate beauty of the building - that golden staircase was just breathtaking. But more importantly, the ballet was just glorious - graceful, passionate, magical... it left me utterly spellbound. I don't think I'll ever stop dreaming about those beautiful dancers and their exquisite artistry.
Pink is Power!
You know what I love most about this journey? Everywhere I go, I inspire people to wear a pink tutu. It's true, it’s happening! There's just something so freeing, so fun about expressing yourself through fashion, and what's more joyful than a pink tutu? It’s not just about a garment; it’s about unleashing your inner sparkle, your own personal expression. It's about saying “I’m here, I'm confident, I'm fabulous” in the most beautiful, whimsical way!
One young girl, maybe six years old, saw my pink tutu on the Eurostar and asked, "Do you have a fairy wand, too?” That just melted my heart! Her innocent joy reminded me why I do what I do - to spread a bit of sparkle and joy in the world. To encourage everyone to be themselves and to have a little fun with fashion.
