#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2019-06-08 Exploring Paris

#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1015 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Bonjour, my darling darlings! Itā€™s Emma here, and guess what? I'm finally in Paris, the city of love, fashion, and... well, everything fabulous! Iā€™m pretty sure even the pigeons wear couture here, haha!

This trip has been a long time coming. Iā€™ve always dreamed of twirling through the streets of Paris, imagining myself as a ballet dancer from the old French cinema, gliding along the cobblestone with the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background. Swoon!

Speaking of dreams coming true, my Eurostar journey to Paris was the ultimate girly girlā€™s travel experience. Imagine: perfectly fitted seats, champagne on tap, and endless opportunities to take outfit selfies with the beautiful scenery whizzing past. And of course, my pink tutu was making a very fashionable appearance, causing a few admiring glances (and maybe a little envyā€¦who knows?)!

You all know how much I love the theatre, especially anything to do with dance. This weekend, I'm indulging my inner ballerina by catching a performance at the Palais Garnier. Just picturing those incredible costumes and graceful movements! The most fabulous part is, I get to share it with my little cousin Amelia. She's a tiny ballerina-in-training herself, and her eyes just sparkle at the thought of the show. Amelia and I are gonna look absolutely fabulous in our matching pink tutus and sparkly ballerina flats. Talk about making a statement!

And of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without some serious shopping. The Parisian shops are legendary, with a million gorgeous garments vying for my attention. I've already scoped out a vintage-inspired lace top and a stunning floral print dress that would be perfect for an evening out. I may have a new handbag to show off as well!

So, follow me, my lovely ladies, as I embark on this Parisian adventure. Iā€™ll be sharing all the Parisian highlights here on the Pink-Tutu blog every Saturday, from must-see places, mouthwatering food (I hear they have amazing macarons here!), fabulous outfits and maybe a sneak peek at my Parisian dance moves! This is gonna be amazing, and I wouldnā€™t have it any other way!

P.S. If you havenā€™t joined the #PinkTutuRevolution yet, donā€™t be shy! Letā€™s spread the joy of pink tutus far and wide! Think pink! (And twirl!).

Saturday 2019-06-08 ā€“ Day One: The Eiffel Tower and All That Jazz!

As soon as I stepped out of the Gare du Nord station, my eyes were filled with the charm of Paris. The city seems to whisper promises of elegance, romance, and endless possibilities! My pink tutu was twirling with me every step of the way, making a joyful, colourful statement in the sea of stylish Parisians. I can already tell that this is going to be a weekend full of memorable moments!

First stop: The Eiffel Tower! I've seen it in photos countless times, but standing under it was an experience in itself. This iconic monument is everything they say and more - a truly breathtaking sight, soaring up to touch the clouds. It was impossible to keep from snapping photos with Amelia! We struck a pose with the Tower in the background and both managed to do some elegant twirls! (Amelia, who is three years younger, out-twirled me by a long shot! That child has an impressive talent, but Iā€™m definitely going to work on that pirouette for the next post).

After the Tower, we had the most delicious lunch at a cafe with tiny red tables spilling out onto the street. I devoured a melt-in-your-mouth Croque Monsieur with a crisp green salad. It was the perfect start to our day, especially as we soaked up the charming French ambiance.

And in the afternoon, we discovered the most magical thing! Tucked away in a cobbled alley was a charming little shop filled with the most exquisite ballerina shoes and tutus. Imagine my delight when we spotted a gorgeous tutu in a soft blush pink with layers of tulle ā€“ it was just my style! Amelia and I looked like two ballerina-ready sisters! I'll admit that my shopping spree might have gotten out of control, but how could I resist? After all, every dancer needs her accessories, right?

In the evening, Amelia and I had dinner with my friend Sophie, who's been living in Paris for a few years now. She treated us to delicious, authentic Parisian food - we sampled escargots, mussels, and the creamiest mashed potatoes ever! I even tried a glass of wine (just a small one!). Sophie tells the best stories - it's amazing what she knows about Parisian culture and history, especially her stories about ballet in the city. Apparently, Paris has a whole hidden world of hidden ballerinas in alleys and squares. Maybe one day, Amelia and I will get to be part of that world?

Sunday 2019-06-09 ā€“ Parisian Perfection and Ballet Bliss!

Paris is definitely giving me all the Parisian vibes! This morning, I woke up feeling incredibly grateful to be in such a beautiful, enchanting city. Even my coffee tastes better here! Today was all about culture and, well, more dancing. We headed to the famous Palais Garnier Opera House, which was more breathtaking in real life than I ever could have imagined. Its stunning architecture and intricate detail was like stepping into a fairytale.

I was completely mesmerised during the ballet. The music was captivating, the costumes were dazzling, and the dancers moved with a grace that left me speechless. The talent was beyond belief! And to see Ameliaā€™s face lit up by it allā€¦ it was simply magical! She was entranced, and when it was over, I knew she was ready for ballet class tomorrow!

Before dinner, we took a lovely stroll around the Tuileries Garden. The trees, the flowerbeds, and the serene atmosphere made me feel like Iā€™d travelled back in time to a bygone era.

And, to round out this perfect weekend, I dined with Sophie in the most exquisite, candlelit bistro. We feasted on steak frites, steak and fries, (because nothing says romantic evening like a great piece of steak!), and I even managed a little ā€œwine therapyā€ with my new Parisian friend!

We laughed, talked about our shared passion for dance, and, as always, Sophie reminded me that a pink tutu makes you feel like anything is possible. And it does!

This city, these experiences, the whole feel of this weekend have solidified it in my mindā€¦ there is a new era of the pink tutu revolution dawning.

So, what's next for the pink-tutu-wearing girl in Paris? You'll have to stay tuned for my next blog post to find out! But here's a hint ā€“ there will be more fabulous fashion finds, incredible performances and possibly, just possiblyā€¦ a chance to learn some real French ballet movesā€¦ Swoon!

I am so thrilled to be sharing all of this with you, and I canā€™t wait for you to join me for next week's #PinkTutuBlogParis adventure!

Until then, remember to wear your pink tutu, dance like nobody's watching, and spread the love for life, the pink tutu, and all things amazing. Until next time! Au revoir!
