#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2021-05-22 Exploring Paris

Well hello there, darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, Emma, back with another Parisian adventure! As you know, I'm a firm believer that every week should have a little bit of Parisian sparkle, so buckle up, buttercup, because today we're taking a magical journey through the streets of the City of Lights.

I travelled to Paris by the most glorious EuroStar – all sleek and modern with such comfortable seats – and my favourite pink tutu of course! I am so in love with the train – a luxurious way to travel and allows me to slip into my "performance" mode and work on new moves to wow my audience. It truly makes for the best creative space! And let's be honest, you can never have too much pink in your life, and certainly not when it's your uniform for exploring Europe.

It feels like a new world every time I visit Paris, bursting with a mix of vintage elegance and modern charm. There's an energy that's contagious and instantly inspires a little more twirling and some fancy footwork in my oh-so-pretty tutu. Speaking of twirling, can you believe the date?!

Today's the 22nd of May, 2021 – what a perfect time to be in Paris! The air is buzzing with the energy of the spring season – blossom trees are in full bloom and there's such a feeling of joie de vivre everywhere I go. This weekend there are all sorts of exciting things going on in Paris – a free outdoor opera performance at the Bastille Opera House, the legendary "Moulin Rouge" with their famous red windmill, and, of course, several world-class ballet performances happening at the Palais Garnier and Théâtre des Champs-Élysées – I may have a tiny obsession, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

Now, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without a little indulgence in the fabulous world of fashion! This weekend I plan to scour the designer boutiques on Avenue Montaigne - it's always a treat to browse the latest creations. And don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be hunting down a fabulous, Parisian inspired pink tutu for all you tutu-loving darlings back home – I’ll keep you posted on what treasures I unearth! And I’m hoping to finally see the infamous, "Galeries Lafayette," – a grand department store filled with exquisite fashion and beautiful displays, oh and did I mention it's pink too? It really is the perfect place for a tutu-lover to discover fabulous things and maybe indulge in some pretty frocks - maybe a vintage inspired blouse or perhaps a pair of pink pumps... hmm.

But before the shopping frenzy takes hold, I must sneak in some much-needed ballet practice! After all, I'm on a mission to inspire the world to embrace the art of ballet, and there's no better place to do that than in the birthplace of ballet. So, I'll be attending some classes at the famous "École de Danse de l'Opéra de Paris." The Parisian ballet studios have such incredible energy and inspiration! They truly bring the stories of famous ballets like Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet alive in a way you can only experience in person! I hope to pick up a few tips from some of the best dancers in the world – their poise and precision are truly mesmerizing!

However, my trip wouldn't be complete without indulging in Parisian cuisine! On my first evening here, I enjoyed the most divine macarons - these colourful confections were simply perfection and a perfect taste of the Parisian sweet-tooth. Of course, a proper Parisian adventure requires a trip to a boulangerie - where I devoured a selection of flaky pastries, perfect to accompany a hot cup of coffee, a real Parisian indulgence.

And I'm not just here for the pretty things, darlings – I'm on a mission to inspire! I’ll be sharing all the pink tutu magic of Paris on my social media accounts so don't forget to follow me, like, share, comment and of course wear pink – that's my motto.

Now that I’m back home in Derbyshire, I’m reminiscing about my Parisian ballet classes and dreaming of returning to the city soon! Paris is a truly magical place for dancers and the energy in those classes is truly electric!
