Pink Tutu Blog Paris #1129: Bonjour, Paris! (And a Whole Lot of Pink!)
Well, darling readers, it's finally happened! I, Emma, your ever-optimistic pink tutu enthusiast, am officially in the City of Lights!
It feels like I’ve been planning this trip forever – months of dreaming, meticulously planning every outfit, and, of course, secretly twirling around in my favourite pink tulle number whenever the travel bug really got to me.
And oh, how I love the EuroStar. The feeling of gliding across the channel, a sense of adventure tingling in the air – it’s the most glamorous way to travel, wouldn’t you say? Even the "no food or drinks on the train" sign looks fabulous in the sleek silver carriage, don’t you think?
This trip, as always, has been funded by my passion: dancing! This past month, I've been performing with the Derbyshire Ballet Society, and our production of Swan Lake was, shall we say, a roaring success. Not only did we receive rave reviews, but my little solo during the "white swan" act – featuring a very sparkly, blush-coloured tutu, naturally – drew gasps of admiration. You should've seen the bouquet of roses afterwards, darling!
But alas, I’ve put away the ballet slippers (at least temporarily!) for Paris's chic avenues, breathtaking museums, and – brace yourself – even more incredible shopping opportunities. And I know exactly what I’m hoping to find: a tiny, vintage pink tutu shop somewhere on the Left Bank, complete with overflowing racks of shimmering pink tulle and feathers. How could a Parisian girl be so chic without a little Parisian pink, right?
Speaking of chic, my first impression of Paris is pure je ne sais quoi. The city pulses with an effortless charm that just pulls you in – the cobbled streets, the aroma of freshly baked croissants drifting through the air, the cheerful patter of French chatter all around... It’s already intoxicating, and I’ve only been here a few hours!
Saturday Delights - Exploring Paris in Pink!Saturday's a great day for a walkabout in Paris, wouldn't you say? Especially since the sun is shining, and it’s finally not pouring like it has been since we arrived. This afternoon, I’m going to embark on a little pink adventure:
- First Stop: Le Marais, a labyrinth of cobbled streets filled with boutique shops, cafes, and art galleries. You can imagine how thrilled I was when I spotted a sign that said "Bouquiniste". What is a Bouquiniste? It's a Parisian street-side vendor who sells antique and used books – and a whole lot of vintage treasures, I suspect. Think, charming, slightly faded photos in soft shades of blush pink...perfect for a pink tutu-loving blogger!
- Second Stop: The Eiffel Tower! How could you visit Paris and not make a pilgrimage to this iconic beauty? Of course, I'll be twirling in my tulle (what else?), capturing a few perfect pink Parisian Instagram snaps along the way. Maybe, just maybe, I'll convince the entire tower to go pink for a day! 😉
- Third Stop: Dinner in Le Marais, which is known for its trendy restaurants and its colourful, quirky cafés. You know I'll be ordering the "plat du jour" - what better way to experience the true taste of Paris? And, I'm definitely wearing my bright pink straw hat. No need for a parasol – it's perfectly sunny and warm in this beautiful city!
I am going to be keeping a look out for something special to share with all my lovely pink tutu fans! I will keep my eyes peeled for anything and everything with the colour pink, all my lovely little ballet chicks! Remember: my aim in life is to get everyone to wear a pink tutu. So tell me: Are you ready to embrace your inner tutu-wearing princess?
Au revoir, mes amies! Don’t forget to visit my blog every Saturday – I’ll be back next week with more fabulous adventures from Paris, where dreams, and a little bit of pink, truly come alive!
Pink Tutu Paris Post #1129 – Fashionable Musings:
I'm wearing:
- My Signature Pink Tutu, in a beautiful shade of pastel pink - the perfect base for Parisian chic. (And yes, I know it's bold! But you can't visit the City of Lights without making a statement.)
- A Creamy-white Blouse, with exquisite pearl buttons. Just the right balance of feminine elegance with a touch of understated glam.
- Vintage French Charm Necklace, found in a tiny little boutique off a hidden Parisian alleyway.
- A Toffee-coloured Leather Belt, to accentuate my petite waist and tie everything together.
- A pair of Silver Ballerina Flats, for comfortable yet stylish walking.
- And to add that Parisian touch – my signature Bright Pink Straw Hat with a feather-trimmed band. Perfect for keeping the sun out of my eyes (and adding a touch of vintage elegance) – It’s my lucky hat!
I hope you love my outfit, darlings! Be sure to tag me in your photos from Paris too! I love seeing you all in your beautiful pink tutus. Don't forget: a pink tutu is more than just a piece of clothing – it’s a symbol of confidence, joy, and the magic of embracing your true self!
