Pink Tutu Paris - Post #1162: Oh La La, Paris!

Saturday, 2nd April 2022

Bonjour from Paris, darlings! The city of lights, the city of love, the city of
tutus? Well, at least for this little ballerina! I finally made it to the French capital after an utterly delightful journey on the Eurostar. The sheer joy of hurtling through the countryside, watching the scenery blur past the window as we zipped across the channel
well, it's something every ballerina should experience!

Now, you know me - a little pink tulle never goes amiss, and today's ensemble was absolutely on point. A gorgeous blush pink tutu (naturally), a crisp white shirt with some intricate embroidery, a chic black beret to ward off any unexpected showers, and my trusty pink satchel that's seen me through many a travelling adventure. It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Paris blog post without a little Parisian flair, wouldn't it?

Before we even got off the train, the anticipation was building. Paris always holds a special place in my heart - a place where dreams come true, where creativity thrives, and where, I dare say, pink tutus feel perfectly at home!

After settling into my darling little hotel, just a hop, skip, and a twirl away from the Seine, I was off on an exploration adventure. Paris in April, with the spring sunshine warming the cobbled streets, is absolutely magical.

First stop, a visit to the stunning Galeries Lafayette. If you're a tutu enthusiast like myself, it's a veritable wonderland! I even managed to score a stunning, brand-new, lilac tulle number from the most charming vintage boutique nestled amongst the high-fashion brands. You can just imagine me swirling in that beauty!

Of course, no Parisian trip is complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't resist grabbing a photo op against that iconic backdrop - pink tutu and all! And trust me, you've never seen the Eiffel Tower quite so adorable. The twirl factor there was absolutely through the roof!

As the afternoon drifted into twilight, I decided to embrace the city's cultural offerings. The programme was chock full of dazzling ballet performances this weekend. My evening was spent at the ThĂ©Ăątre des Champs-ÉlysĂ©es watching an absolutely captivating production of “Giselle”. Every single dancer, every movement, every whisper of a flute – sheer perfection! I left the theatre floating on a cloud of inspiration. Paris truly is the capital of the arts.

Speaking of arts, you know I can't resist a good ballet class, even when I'm on holiday! Thankfully, Paris has no shortage of studios. I squeezed in a beautiful ballet barre class with some very talented instructors at Salle Pleyel. The studio itself was stunning, with high vaulted ceilings and big windows flooding it with the beautiful Parisian evening light. Talk about feeling inspired!

With my day practically bursting with Parisian charm and elegance, it was time for a delicious French dinner, of course! My tummy and I are always ready for that! A delectable quiche with creamy bĂ©chamel sauce and some freshly baked bread – perfection!

This city truly holds a magic spell, don't you think? Every corner you turn reveals something new, something exciting. But it’s not just the scenery, the art, the fashion
it’s also the people! Everyone seems to have such a vibrant, artistic energy – a true love of life and culture. It’s inspiring, it’s contagious, and it’s just what a little pink tutu girl needs.

Until next Saturday, darlings!

Remember, don't forget to spread the tutu love. Paris is just the beginning of my pink tutu adventures, and I can’t wait to see where it all takes me!

A bientĂŽt!

Emma’s Pink Tutu Paris Tips:

  • Getting There: The Eurostar is my personal choice - smooth, efficient and a joy ride!

  • Hotel Life: Look for something quaint and charming! You’ll find the best spots in hidden little squares.

  • Shop till you drop: The Galeries Lafayette is heaven for tulle-lovers. But explore hidden vintage boutiques too - the true treasures are found there!

  • Parisian Cuisine: Indulge in everything creamy, cheesy, and delicious. A good French bistro never disappoints! Don’t forget your croissant - a French staple.

  • Artful Experiences: Catch a ballet performance if you can. The energy, the beauty
it’s simply unforgettable. And don't forget, the classically Parisian theatre district is literally called “The Quarter of Theatre”.

  • Get out on the Streets: Paris is all about exploring. Walking through its historic streets is an adventure in itself. Take a wander around charming areas like the Marais. And always take your camera – there are stunning shots to be had. The best things in Paris, just like my favourite tutus, are found hidden away in nooks and crannies.

  • Bring your Tutu: Yes, your tutu! It’s all about celebrating your style, whatever that may be! And remember: Pink tutus always make a statement. You can find tutus to suit all ages, from the little ballerinas to the seasoned twirlers. I hope my posts inspire you to embrace the magic of tutus.
