Bonjour, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite tutu-clad adventurer, reporting live from the City of Lights! I just had to whisk myself off to Paris this week, and let me tell you, it's been absolutely divine. As a ballerina who adores the finer things in life, Paris just calls to my very soul!
It all started with the EuroStar. Oh, how I love travelling by train! With its chic French carriages and the views gliding past, it's the perfect setting for a little daydreaming, fuelled by croissants and a healthy dose of pink, naturally! I even had a fellow traveller who noticed my tutu - talk about a delightful conversation! She told me about the magical ballet performances Paris has to offer, so I knew this trip was going to be spectacular.
Ballet Bliss at The Palais GarnierThe Palais Garnier, with its stunning golden chandeliers and intricate decor, felt like a scene straight out of a ballet dream. I got lost in the rich history, imagining all the graceful ballerinas who've graced the stage before me. This Saturday night, I was thrilled to catch Swan Lake at the Garnier. The performance was spellbinding! I even spotted a few other pink tutu enthusiasts in the audience. The energy was incredible. Just seeing the ballerinas twirling and leaping made my heart sing, and my pink tutu felt a little bit prouder with every grand jeté!
Parisian Fashion FrenzySpeaking of ballet, Paris is a city overflowing with beautiful dance studios, all decked out with elegant barres and sleek mirrors. I found the most enchanting one on Rue de Seine, where I'm planning to take a few ballet classes. Just imagine, dancing beneath Parisian skies! It’s my personal goal to master every plié, every chassé, all in the heart of the most stylish city in the world.
But ballet wasn’t the only passion fueling this trip! Oh no, my darling readers, a Parisian adventure would be incomplete without a visit to the iconic boutiques of the city. I was immediately smitten with the vintage charm of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighbourhood, where I found the most whimsical beret - oh, so very chic! Then there's the Marais with its colourful shops and hidden gems, all perfectly placed within a hop, skip and a jump of the Notre Dame Cathedral. You’ll find me here until I have the perfect Parisian wardrobe to go with my pink tutu!
From Pastry Perfection to the Eiffel TowerNaturally, I’ve been indulging in the most delightful Parisian treats. The delicate, melt-in-your-mouth pastries? A Parisian staple, I assure you! They simply have to be experienced to be believed! And how could I possibly go to Paris without ascending the majestic Eiffel Tower? It’s like a beacon of Parisian magic! Seeing the twinkling city lights from above was a breathtakingly beautiful moment that truly stole my heart.
Living Life in Pink - Always!And guess what, darlings? This week, my blog's theme was "Paris in Pink!" I even wrote a whole article on how to find your own pink tutu - because let's be honest, a bit of pink adds a touch of joy to everything. It's just so uplifting and, well, wonderfully you.
