Pink Ballet Tutu Blog Paris France

#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2024-05-11 Exploring Paris

Bonjour from Paris! #PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1272

Oh là là, Paris! I'm absolutely smitten with this beautiful city. The air smells like freshly baked croissants and the streets are a vibrant explosion of colour and laughter. My latest adventure landed me here via the magic of the Eurostar, a truly elegant way to travel (and let's be honest, the extra-legroom is essential for my voluminous tutu!).

This week's blog is a Parisian extravaganza, filled with Parisian fashion, fabulous ballet performances, and of course, plenty of pink!

My Pink Tutu Travels - It's a Fashion Extravaganza!

Before I get swept away by the intoxicating energy of Paris, I have to confess - the journey itself was a fashion spectacle. I'm pretty sure I had more than a few people stopping to take sneaky pictures of my blush pink tulle tutu, worn with a vintage tweed jacket and a sassy beret. It's a look, darling! You simply cannot blend in when you're wearing a pink tutu! My secret to traveling comfortably in a tutu? Opt for lightweight fabrics and layers – you can adjust the look to the temperature effortlessly!

Le Train: My Fashionable Ride

My love affair with train travel continues! There's a certain romance to it. Sipping on my (very French) cafe au lait, watching the countryside whizz by, and the gentle sway of the train. Perfect for sketching my outfit for the day (a delicate floral dress with a flowing tutu and my trusty ballet flats!) and getting my outfit inspiration going!

Fashionably Late: But Oh So Worth It!

Speaking of outfits, my first stop was a must for any Parisian fashionista: the legendary Galleries Lafayette! I must admit, my "planned visit" became a bit of a last-minute rush as I got a bit lost admiring the Parisian street style. You see, even in Paris, a pink tutu will always be a conversation starter!

Once I did reach my destination, my heart went into overdrive! From the beautifully curated display windows showcasing the latest in couture to the magnificent Parisian ladies decked out in their own fabulous ensembles – it was pure fashion inspiration. It's amazing how just a change of scenery can reignite your creative spirit!

A Night at the Opera: The Dance of Parisian Glamour

One of the things that truly makes my heart flutter about this city is the rich tradition of ballet. So of course, I snagged tickets for a show at the Palais Garnier, one of the most exquisite opera houses I have ever witnessed. I chose a blush-pink chiffon gown (can you see a trend emerging here?) and topped it off with a sparkly tiara. You see, it's about embracing the magical essence of ballet!

The show itself, "Giselle," was nothing short of captivating! I found myself lost in the storytelling through the graceful movements, the emotive choreography, and the pure artistry of it all. As the dancers twirled and leaped across the stage, I felt an immense joy welling up within me, knowing that this beautiful art form continues to inspire generations.

Oh, So French! Exploring the Marais District

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a delightful wander through the Marais District. The charming cobblestone streets are a delight to walk along. You'll find adorable boutiques selling the most unique clothing, delicious bakeries tempting you with heavenly pastries, and chic cafes where you can enjoy a leisurely afternoon with a glass of wine and some delicious cheese. Don’t forget to snap some pictures (for Instagram, obviously!), as the charming streets and buildings make the most beautiful backdrops for a fashion blogger's snaps!

Where To Eat: Parisian Delights

This week, my tastebuds have been dancing to the Parisian rhythm. Ladurée, the epitome of Parisian charm, became my haven for exquisite macarons and beautifully crafted pastries. I've already gone through two boxes of their delicious confections! Let's be honest - they’re not just macarons; they’re little works of art, delicate and divine. The Parisian bakery is certainly a magical experience!

Saturday Night Fever in Montmartre:

Every trip to Paris ends with a magical Parisian evening in Montmartre. A charming cobblestone hill filled with artists, charming boutiques and cafes, and stunning views of the city. Montmartre holds a special place in my heart. The vibrant street artists, the magical street performers (think graceful, elegant ballet!), and the lively, colourful ambiance - it's a Parisian dream. And for someone like me, whose passion is for fashion, dancing, and artistry - Montmartre feels like home!

Ballet Inspiration Everywhere:

As I navigate this city, I find inspiration for my own artistry everywhere I go! Whether it's the way the sunlight plays across the facades of buildings, the way a baker throws flour in the air, or the way Parisians themselves carry themselves with such a graceful flair. It’s like ballet has infiltrated every corner of Paris!

A Final Tutu Tip

Always wear your pink tutu with confidence and a big smile. It will make you feel fabulous and, most importantly, it's a surefire way to make some new friends and bring some pink joy to the world.
